Hotrod in the newest game ex or mame32?

I just recently got my arcade PC system going again, with the newest versions of mame 32 and game ex. I went through the settings in both and i can find nothing related to the hotrod, slikstik or any of that.

I'm using the 2 player hotrod joystick which I believe is the SE, I've looked through all options menus in both programs i can't find it listed, I can use it to go through game ex menus but once I get into a game it won't respond because I can't set it as the default controller. Can anyone tell me whats up? Is there a config file I need or something?

A while ago, the controller folder was removed from the "official" mame builds. Extract the content in my attachment into your mame folder and you should be able to select your controller from mame32.

You may be running up against the same problem I was having with my Slikstik controller. Apparantly they changed they way the mouse inputs work in the last couple of releases of MAME32 (105 and 106 specifically), and that has caused the default cfg files for the controllers to not function. I dropped my MAME32 back to version 103 and everything worked perfectly, you may have to do the same thing until someone comes up with a new keyboard configuration file.
