[RESOLVED] Problem with MAME Update List

Hi,

I've recently update the hardware on my system and am in the process of reinstalling GameEx. All was fine until I tried to update the MAME game list and I just kept returning to the main MAME screen.

From looking at the log there is possibly a problem with the joysticks:

13:05:09.2 1/16/2016: Unable to create a joystick device

I think this may be a DirectX issue.

Have a look here and here and see if you get any clues as to what may be the root problem. Note that since you're on Windows 10, there isn't going to be a end user runtime installer available, 10 has the latest release version already.

I ended up uninstalling GameEx which I had downloaded but not installed prior to upgrading to Windows 10.

Re-downloaded and installed in Win 10 and all is fine.
