As far as I know, there are no working xbox/ps2 emulators out there. there may be a few that can load the bios, but not actual games. Even when they do start emulating games it will be a huge decline in performance. If you have ever mesed around with the N64 or PSX emulators you will see what I mean. The amount of PC power that goes into emulating the hardware that was in the systems is tremendous.

I believe the dreamcast was only emulated so easily do to it's heavy emphasis on the windows operating system, although I have no idea how accurate Chankast's emulation speeds/framerate are.

In other words, don't hold your breath buddy.

yah forget it, n64 (c. 1996) seems about the limit for a while, and perfect (as say Nestopia?) maybe never

can we post sites to get roms here? typically thats frowned upon....

You mention that you got n64 working well, but do you notice how many games aren't emulated properly? How many drag? how many have sound issues? etc etc. Just because you can get Super Mario 64 going for a bit doesn't mean it's nearly %100 emulated correctly. And yes, ePSX can emulate fairly well (certain games), but it is still very tricky and it's known for being buggy. Now consider the hardware specs in PS2's, Xbox's, and such. If a 4ghz machine can' perfectly emulate a ps1 game, then how much rawpower is it going to take to emulate all the processors the ps2 runs?

As far as your emulators go, I under Chankast is really the only feasible Dreamcast emulator.

Gamecube, just like ps2 and xbox, does not have an emulator that can do any more then load the bios.

I have tried Satourne and Saturnin - both of which are really good at coming up with errors and not much else. They also only seem to play games from your CD drive, not images (unless they are ST-V arcade images). I have however sen workign Configs for Cassini in the user config section, so I can only guess that gmaes are actually playable and that it support loading from ISO's.

Dreamcast works somewhat with chankast, but many games have graphics and sound issues.

SSF works extremely well for Sega Saturn, much better than Saturin, Satourne or Cassini.
