Sorry folks it seems a small bug crept into 6.19 that stopped emulator games showing up because of the faster file scanning

If you installed 6.19 and are using emulators you need to upgrade to this release

Yes the bug was quite bad,When I used GameEx to shut my system down,it corrupted my hard drive,Hal.dll disappeared,I tried everything even a spare boot up disc.

But I ended up reinstalling windows xp.

Never mind,it was raining outside and I had nothing better to do.

The bug had nothing to do with what you just explained. It was just an "End If" in the wrong place. Your issue must have been to do with something else altogether!

Please be careful when posting stuff lke this stuff, its scares people, and GameEx should never do anything like that. It mostly runs in managed code, making stuff like that almost impossible.

All I did was to install the update,no changes were made to any of the settings.

It had been working alright before the update.

Maybe so, but its still unlikely GameEx did this to your system.

No worries though, and I'm sorry you had to rebuild your PC.

Or a virus, hardware failure, other software, hard disk corruption. The list goes on...

Very ingenious! I had the End if in the wrong place right there! Tha'ts why I never spotted when I tested 6.19.

nope, just noticed some of my emus had games and some didnt, and said in my best german accent 'zer must be some differences in ze config'

i guess i have high tolerance for very boring testing lol

Tom can you check out my thread please i have a weird Snes emu problem i really need your help with please.
