Hello, how do you update just GameEx without re-installing it all when new versions come out?

Thanks--Great Program!

just install the new gamex, it will overwrite the old one and keep all the configuration files you previously had. no need to uninstall.

I usually just copy the GameEx config file to another directory and cut & paste the emulator info back into it (since for some reason every time I update I lose a chunk of my emulators... Seems like some sort of bug. My emulator options are different than the initial install, meaning the list is different than the one that originally comes with the program)

If there's a better way I'd love to hear about it.

Hope that helps! :)

That happens to you? When I reintall the porgram it just adapts all my old config files.. how strange.

I can't figure it out...

When I update, I lose emus 5-8 (all that's left is a blank line) and they appear down at the bottom of the .ini - but they don't work in GameEx.

I have no idea why it does that, but I've learned to deal with it. I'd be interested in hearing it's something simple in the ini that I'm over-looking, but I got a feeling it's something I don't understand. :)

* sorry I hijacked the thread :( *

Tom, and the correct answer is....

Thanks....

Sounds like the ini file got corrupted. Easiest thing to do is load up the ini in notepad and remove all traces of those emulators then recreate them in the config app. If you want an easy way to clear all the emulators but keep your other settings, in notepad do a replace and replace "[EMULATOR_ " With "[CORRUPTEMULATOR_ "
