New Theme - Alpha Olive V2

Hi guys,

had a Version One theme i was gonna submit today, but i thought screw it...i made it a version 2! Its called 'Alpha Olive V2'. It started off as a night vision style theme, but it kept on changing, thanks to Headkaze's theme editor, i think its got better, heres some screenshots:

Im just waiting to upload the theme to Tom, it should be with you soon, hopefully

Yeah looks great, and I'm as pleased as Headkaze that the theme editor is getting some use.

If you've not already feel free to upload it, no problems here. Ill get it on the site as soon as I can.

No problem,

I converted it to V2 this afternoon, so i havent had time to check it properly, here are some of the settings i used, incase there are issues:

Configuration settings:

Size - 800 x 600

Outline fonts = No

Make Dialohue Text White = No

font size - Normal

The layout might not be to everyones taste, but i really wanted to change the way the startpage looked, & everything else was affected, most things worked out ok, but the game descriptions look pretty lousy. Also i have problems with the toolbar, i can't get it to just appear when the mouse is over it.

I had another look at the theme today and thought it could do with some tweaking,

so i've sent a new version to Tom, with some good changes:

- Improved layout for arrows & exit/gameex buttons

- New Startup Sound

- Better icon placement

- I also made a Startup Video for the theme, which kicks in after the loading screen

Looking forward to letting some Guinea pigs loose on it

Thanks. I'll whip it together as soon as possible. I'm just thinking about wether I should make it a "complete" theme with all the buttons and logos available, but since I just use GameEx for MAME/emulators, perhaps people with similar needs will find it useful. Or if someone else feel like finishing the other pages.

great theme!!!!!! i cant get the menubar to hide all the time however??? whats up with that!

I thinks thats down to the Theme Editor, it might not be supported in Gameex yet, but im not sure.

Its either all or nothing, always show/hide

I don't think you can have the menu bar show when you move the mouse like in MCE. But it makes for a nice feature request
