Prompting for registration after copying to new machine

Hello all,

I recently upgraded my arcade build with new guts, and copied my existing installation onto the new machine, and installed the current version of GameEx over the existing install (as recommended in the FAQ.) Upon first run of GameEx after the upgrade, everything is fine (and registered.) However, after I run the setup wizard and save my settings, GameEx exits immediately and takes me to the registration web page.

I'll note that I purchased GameEx in 2009, and had just recently created a forum account with my existing e-mail address. Could this have hosed my legacy account?

Hi hypomonk, and welcome to the forums!

When you copied over your existing setup, did you rerun the registry key you received with your purchase of GameEx? If not, you'll need to do that. If you did do that already, you may need to contact Tom directly. There have been some significant changes to GameEx registration process, so it's possible that you may have hit a wrinkle somewhere. If that is the case, Tom will get you sorted out in no time flat.

Unfortunately I lost my registry key when my hard drive died. I am noticing that my forum profile is showing me as a lifetime user, so it seems that my account did get migrated.

Who should I contact to have my registration resent?
