Steam loading despite not enabled

To be able to disable steam completely from gameex. I would like to keep them separate one being I have hundreds of steam games installed and it slows gameex down.

This is already a feature. Go to Setup Wizard, "Search" for Steam, Change "Enable automatic login and logout" to "No." Remove your Username and Password info and there ya go!

Mine has been like that since i set it up and have never entered any details for my steam account, steam still loads into it for some reason.

I moved this to the general forum as this may be a bug if what you are saying is true. Can you please provide the author with a copy of your gameeex.ini and log.txt file (the log file must be from immediately after the Steam loading activity). Thanks!

If Steam is running and you are logged in at the same time GameEx is running I believe that GameEx will automatically list your Steam games. The ability to completely disable Steam functionality has been requested on a couple of occasions, but to my knowledge has not been implemented. FWIW I think it would be worthwhile to request this feature, although this may be something that comes included with Evolution right out of the box.

+2, even though I don't mind since my Steam is generally always on.

That would be good news if evolution can do that out of the box. I can live with it until then nothing major anyhow.
