Registered GameEx taking too long to exit

Sorry to hijack i am having same issue, lasting around 20 seconds i would say.

Also was fine before i registered GameEx

If you don't mind, please attach a copy of your gameex.ini file as well. While it may be a similar issue to what others have reported, there may be differeneces in your setup that require a different resolution. Thanks!

I have quite a few uninstalled Steam games in my library; however, the games that are uninstalled are not showing up in my log.txt file. Only Steam games that are installed are showing in the log, then there is that one error (invalid or filtered path) which occurs only once in my case.

Also, the waiting is still on-and-off for me. At times I can shut it down instantly even right when I start the program. Other times I may navigate somewhere, try to shut down, and get the long wait.

I should also mention that hideOS is still running, according to the log file, even though I have hide desktop set to false in the config file. This does not hide my desktop, however. I thought that may have something to do with the black screen on the wait.

None of those are I recently formatted the steam hard drive and start fresh with the new ssd for os. I've tried to find where I can disable steam in gameex probably being dumb lol

All those games run fine BTW weird that it kicks up a error

I can't figure out how to disable Steam either. Regardless, the long wait isn't happening every single time I try to exit. It's at a point where I really can't find any rhyme or reason as to why it's taking so long. Sometimes it's waiting on exit even when I close after playing for a long time, sometimes it closes right away even if I just booted up GameEx.

Upon returning from vacation last night and turning on the computer I noticed that the Steam client immediately wanted to update. I'm wondering if this is an instance in which an update to the Steam client is having a ripple effect in terms of how GameEx needs to parse Steam data. It may of course be completely unrelated, but the timing does seem to fit. I'll see if I can dig up any information to that end.

I was perhaps too hesitant to report an all clear. I had instant exits a few times in a row, but then today got a random delayed exit again. I just loaded GameEx 4 times without loading any games, just browsing the menus and the same thing happened. I had 3 good exits then the delayed black screen. Here's my log after that delayed exit:
