The Video Assets are not downloading and N64 in emulator looks different

Do you have a paid membership at EmuMovies? The Automatic Artwork Download functionality will only download screenshot snap and title images if you have a free EmuMovies account.

I'm not sure what you mean about the N64 looking different in the emulator. N64 emulation in particular can be affected by multitudes of factors including different emulators, different graphics plugins, custom texture packs, etc. In many cases the quality of emulated graphics may differ drastically from what you see in the artwork. It might be worthwhile to ask around over at EmuMovies to determine how various artwork was captured (i.e. what emulator settings were used and that sort of thing).

Not sure what you mean by your second point but are you a paid member at EmuMovies? Also it can take some time for videos to download as it downloads the other assets first.

In that case you may just want to leave GameEx running for a while, as Tom suggests. This holds especially true if you have a significant number of ROMS, being as videos are larger chunks of media and can take a while to download depending on the speed of your network connection.

Hopefully that should set you on track. Also remember that that EmuMovies doesn't necessarily have video snaps for every game under the sun, so some titles may not have associated videos (although they certainly have more available than any other available online source!)

Not to highjack the thread or anything, but since this topic is already being discussed, if you have an EmuMovies account, does it download these based on favorites, as they are ran, or based on your romset?

I believe based upon your ROM set.

Isn't there also an EmuMovies downloader? Did a lot of my asset gathering via this. i.e.:

Setup Emulator

Setup GameEx to boot emulator

Run EmuDownloader (or whutever it's called) outside of GE to grab assets based on your sets

Reboot GameEx to see all that lovely artwork

I use the Artwork Downloader personally, as opposed to integrated support. If youre looking for visual representation of the files you download, thats the way to go.

Call me old fashioned, but I like to see things as they happen.

This is also correct (and typically the procedure I myself follow ). The EmuMovies Downloader will allow you to have a greater degree of control over what gets downloaded and when. The integrated artwork download certainly wins in convenience though!

I was sort of afraid of that, but that's good to know! I guess it's a good idea to pick and choose what you want in advance, as opposed to just using an entire rom set, imagine the download time that would need!
