No audio when pinballx run as administrator

XP sp3 system. If I run pinballx as administrator there is no sound in the pinballx table selection menu as well no audio when playing the table. Switch back to running pinballx with normal privileges and all audio is back..

Anyone seen this before?

Depending on whether you're still running PinballX as described here, I think it might be worthwhile to try the solution proposed by Draco right here. Certainly worth a shot at any rate.
