HideOS in 13.21 causing demul to crash! [Maybe]

After about a day of trying to figure out why DEmul (which was working a couple of weeks ago) was now crashing, but ran fine outside of GE. I finally disabled Hide os in the advanced options, and WALLA! No more DEmul crashing after about 30 seconds.

Oh and before you ask, DEmul is set to show desktop just like it was before. I screwed with emulator configs for hours trying to figure it out.

Just for giggles... was the hideos.exe updated in 13.21?

I just updated GE and got my 1st hiccup in years involving HideOS too. After i ran MAME, i quit game and ESC exited GameEx. I thought at first my system had froze (nothing but a black screen) but i opened task manager and sure enough HideOS was till running. It took roughly 20 seconds to exit itself.

I'm gonna have a tinker to see if it is persistent.

Hi guys. If you don't mind providing some log files and any other pertinent info, perhaps from Event Viewer at the time the issue is occuring 9that might not show in the log file and assuming something does show there) so Tom can take a look. Thanks!

I wish I would have looked. I was so pissed that my Naomi was broken after having used it for weeks without issue and then trying to figure out how I broke it. Essentially, under many Naomi/DEmul titles, after about 30 seconds the screen would go black and stay that way until I killed DEmul. I will see if I still have logs from that day. It appears that my arcade was played quite a bit over the weekend though.

So I tried the hideOS.exe from the 13.20 version, and guess what? Still broken. At which point I compared the MD5 Hashes, and they of course matched exactly....

This is kinda buggin' me. So I will probably re-enable it tomorrow and see what errors are being thrown if any.
