Hi,

I have setup also CCS64 with gameex but it won't load any game cartridge (.crt format). Each time I select a game from the list and launch it it will launch CCS64 on the main C64 Welcome Screen.

The CCS64 is working good from its own GUI so wondering if something is bad with the gameex settings. I have installed CCS64 downloaded directly from the designer portal (not from the Gameex Wizard download utility)

Cheers

I split your post from the original as the issue reported was over 9 months old and is likely not directly related other than the emulator referenced.

When reporting a possible GameEx bug or error, please ensure you submit a copy of your log.txt and gameex.ini file so we may quickly assist you. Please refer to this link for additional information.

You may also want to post your emulator configuration and runitgamebat so that someone can help you figure out for certain if this is a GameEx bug or a bad command line and/or filter combination. Thanks!

If other types of roms are loaded and launched correctly through GameEx, there is something strange here... crt (cartridge) roms should be loaded too.
Post the files as Draco said, in this case I really would see the runitgame.bat.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply on this but I was out of home for some days.

I have enclosed the Gameex.ini and log file.

To sum up this issue, whenever I want to start a crt from CCS64 GUI it will load fine (using the insert cartridge menu from the main menu options). If I want then to launch from Gameex, CC64 will always start with the last game launched from the GUI and keeps launching that game whatever is selected from the game list..

Hi repetto,

I don't use CCS64 but i do know that some emulators can set a default rom to load and so i'm wondering if CCS64 has such an option? Something with to do with a default cartridge that has been set by the emu itself? It's just an idea that popped in my head, so sorry if i'm way off the mark :D

Hi Dazzle

The cartridge which is still loaded is the one that has been selected and loaded directly from CCS64 (so it can be any cartridge). If I want to select another game from Gameex list it will keep loading the last one.

I have tried the Runitgame.bat with Pause option and there is apparently no error. I can see the cartridge selected is unzipped but then for an unknown reason it is not loaded in CCS64 and the emu will start with the last cartridge been loaded...

Try:

CCS64.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -window -autorun

I don't even see "-fullscreen" as a valid switch!?! So that being said, "-window" might/can be omitted from that as well but for testing we'll leave it in.

Hi,

Thanks for the proposal but will not be available right now for this.

I may try to set up Winvice with Gameex as I read it is far more easy to get it running...

Good luck! I did toy with this emulator and discovered that it can be done with carts but that they need to be in the install directory of the emulator. I couldn't get it work otherwise and is suggested in their forums. If anyone plans to use this emulator for carts then I suggest a simple wrapper to just put the desired rom in the c64.cfg file.

You may want to try GameBase. I don't know what Tom did to integrate it but it works, and it works well! You'll still need an emulator and i use WinVICE myself - i don't have half the problems you have. Just saying :)
