MAME 184u5 released with vector/raster bloom & lua scripting

One of the most interesting features added is the lua scripting support. There are some really cool things that can be done using lua scripting such as being able to display your CP, instructions, move commands etc. over MAME without the need to compile a custom version. It does say it's a "basic hookup" at this point so probably not much that can be done yet but it will be interesting to see where they take it.

That would be a nice feature to have. I don't know anything about programming and stuff though, so somebody else will have to do all the work and then make a super dumb explanation on how it all works.

I personally detest blooming. If a vector monitor is adjusted correctly, it should look nice and crisp.

That is the reason that I never had any use for AAE.
