Start cartridge games on Naomi NullDC?

Hi there!

After many many attempts i've managed to fit correctly the Naomi NullDC (r150) in my GameEx.
The command line is:

nullDC_Win32_Release.exe -config Naomi:DefaultImage="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

and my config file (nullDC.cfg) is:

At this point i've a question: has someone managed to launch mvc2 via naomi nulldc? It seems to me that is required a naomi cartridge system bios; is it correct? Any advice?

Hi kannadav,

Try this:

Go into your nullDC Naomi> LST directory and find "Marvel vs. Capcom 2.lst", copy this to where your mvc2 image is & rename it the same, then launch using the .lst file.

This is all i have as i'm not using nullDC at the moment but if this doesn't work i'm sure someone with more experience with it will have more options to try

Hi! Thanks for the answer but i've already tried in this way. It remains locked on "loading game now..." screen and then windows (7 64) says that NullDC has stopped to work...

Hmmmmm OK, the only other advice i can personally can give is try a different renderer or try the .cdi (dreamcast) version. Failing that you might want to try the Makaron emulator as people have had far more success running Capcom Naomi titles through that. You can then use the "Group" feature in GameEx to put MVC2 back into your Naomi list

Have a little patience though as someone else may chime in - i've not used Dreamcast or Naomi for a few months so i'm a bit rusty

Hi! As you suggested i'm returned on makaron (T12/5)... and i've remembered why i've discarded this emulator once... I can't set keyboard!! mvc2 starts but it doesn't receive any input. How can i set keyboard?

The solution for keyboard input is.... I've downloaded makaronex; setting the keys in its GUI; moved the inis in the other makaron (T12/5) folder. It works!

Command Line for GameEx:

Naomi.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]"

And Advanced Config to close properly the emulator:

Mapping Off Exit (F8, ALT+F4).ini
