Just curious if anyone has ever though of putting in a "Rate" option inside of Game Ex. Everyone knows shinobi is awesome right? But who knows what Violence Fight is? Not I until I stumbled across the game. If that game is good I would like to rate accordingly...if not I'd like to rate accordingly(1-10 scale) so when my friends come over and I might be upstairs they could see my ratings or ratings from other people who have played on my Cabinet. Also they could also rate once they play the game.(Unlimited local ratings) I guess you could go as far to make this online as well but it does not have to be.

Also with the rating system you could have another quick link at the main menu for "Highest Rated Games" like "Favorites" or "Last Played."

Any chance of this happening or too complex to do?

Thanks,

Rich

Sounds like a great idea! I'd back this :) You could then spawn lists for categories like say "Top 10 Shmups" etc. It may have even been mentioned before for all i know but just in case, you might like to head on over to the Feature & Enhancement Request thread and make your idea formal - before it gets lost in the vast ocean that is the general forum ^_^

Something like this is easily the #1 item on my wish list! GameEx has gained a lot of really nice multimedia enhancements lately (which are all very cool and appreciated), but this basic enhancement would be super appreciated.

In particular, after rating games, I'd love to be able to specify a ratings filter in CustomMenu.ini. This would eliminate the need to hard code custom maps, and provide a much more efficient way of managing large console lists.

rtkiii has already gone ahead and made his request - why not head on over and give your +1 (click on "Like This"). Of course nothing is guaranteed as it is solely that - a request, but you never know, if enough people like an idea it may get some attention. It can't hurt to show your support for an idea, maybe even make your own post elaborating as you did here :)

These kinds of things will just get lost in the general forum as staff (quite rightly) concentrate on troubleshooting & helping people with problems ;)

And we see why "Dazzle" is now an elite member. A Yoda of sorts :) - Congrats btw!
