GameEx, no-intro nes rom set and nestopia are all working well. After setting up the for-mentioned I'm tired of searching and reading :) My question is how do I get this combination to show only USA roms in GameEx?

If I could get a suggestion or two it would be much appreciated.

Thank you to the creator of GameEx. It was a joy to play Madden 13 on PS3 with my son, then play ten yard fight and tecmo bowl with him on our HTPC. I haven't played those games since I was a kid!! Many good memories :)

Hey, Welcome to the forums,

In the setup wizard go to advanced emulator setup for Nintendo NES/nestopia scroll down to where is says Map File and use the [Console] Nintendo NES - USA Map File, This will enable GameEx to show US games only.

You Tha Man!!! Worked great. For me that map file was located in c:\gameex\map files

thanks again!

No problem, Glad you got it sorted :)

Also using the filters with wildcards works great. I actually would go that route because I'm not sure how dated that map file is.

I was just going to ask what rom set that map file is based on... no-intro support only? Never knew it was even there!

I appreciate all the support! You all are great! But just a word of advice to any fellow noobs out there (like me). If you use the .map file to filter your (USA) roms from no-intro, it does work, however, when you go to import your art work from EMUMovies you will have some miss match files. I believe this happens because the no-intro compressed file names dont always match the EMUMovies (USA) rom name needed, however that file is inside the compressed file. In my opinion, its better to extract the no-intro to a folder then search for (USA) in that folder, then copy only those files to your GameEx rom directory. This way was ideal for me because 1. You only download the artwork and movies that you actually need. 2. All the files match with the exception of a few duplicates 3. No tedious renaming. 4. You dont have alot of roms and bloat that you will most likely never use. The only flaw in this way of doing it is if or when no-intro drops an update, you will have to repeat the process. But its ok cause this way is fast and efficient. I should mention though I also came across a few rom managers but for me the learning curve was way too steep. Unless your becoming a collector or rom guru its not worth the time :) atleast for me it wasn't. Thanks again to everyone! Happy New Year!!

Yeah as Draco says, Perfect Match is the way to go.

You can have your Rom sets and Artwork matched in relatively quick time.

I myself have used Tempest's apps alot and no similar type of app comes close.
