Would be best to import these emulator's settings so that the default command-lines are setup already. GameEx comes with predefined settings for popular emulators. Importing them will at least get you started and then can troubleshoot from there when having issues since such a broad range of issues.

I think it might be best to settle on one emulator you want to get running well, get it running outside of GameEx, then work on running it via GameEx. If you take a shotgun approach to trying all at once, you are only going to confuse yourself and those trying to help. Pick one and let's go from there!

ok thanks for the help i will try one at a time and get back with you on the progresss the map files how do i use them or exactly what are they for thanks a million for the tips and help

A .map file is what is used to determine how your roms are named/displayed within GameEx.

If you used the .map file for Capcom CPS3 it would change the way the name of CPS3 roms are displayed within GameEx.

For example:

sfiii3.zip would be displayed in GameEx as Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future

Some rom sets use numbers so it's always best to use a Map file to display the correct name otherwise you may not know what the actual rom is.

There are many different Map files to display different regions/names etc.

Here are a couple of links you may find interesting.
