Well I finally thought I had it all figured out but looks like I got another challenge on my hands. Now steam and gameex are not playing well together anymore. Two of my games "castle crashers and IGT slots" will launch through gameex and after about a minuet, will go back into gameex. The funny thing is gameex manages to close steam during this time but the game itself remains open. My third steam game Super Street Fighter IV Arcade addition, crashes gameex completely after first launching with a direct x type error in the gameeex log. All these games worked in gameex before, and all these games run fine when I just have steam running by itself. It seems to be the the same error that occurred in the log when I tried to have music autoplay from my jukebox during startup. My directx version and video card are up to date. (direct x 11) and I made no changes to that between the time it did work and the time its crashing....actually this crashing started almost at random as I have not made any changes to gameex between the time it was working fine and the time it started happening. So confused. :/

Have there been any changes made to the codecs? Can you run the other programs that are crashing, one at a time, and provide the log.txt files for each?

In the log file you provided for Castle Crashers, the log file shows the following:

12:23:17.4 12/9/2012: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
12:23:17.4 12/9/2012: Failed Opening Video: c:\gameex\media\steam\video\45760.flv

What I find interesting is that Steam appID 45760 is for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. You may want to try deleting the video file 45760.flv under C:\GameEx\MEDIA\STEAM\VIDEO\ restart GameEx, then see if this improves the behavior. It is possible that the file you have presently is corrupt.

Hello sorry for the late response ive been super busy with christmas and all and I just got my cabinet and ive been busy playing around with that. I deleted the 45760.flv and the issue is still present. I also have an issue where if I I que a few songs in the jukebox and start navigating my menues everything locks up and I get a BSOD with a kernel inpage error but if I let the machine site for a bit before navigating it appears fine, but I dont think those are related. I tried reinstalling steam and that didnt help either. Any other suggestions?

First, ensure you have the latest version of GameEx installed (up to 12.96 since your original post). Once you have completed that, if the issues still persist, upload in reply to this thread your gameex.ini and log.txt file.
