ccs64 emulator not working with GameEx

Hi,

I'm currently trying to set-up the commodore 64 emulator ccs64 through GameEx but are having problems doing so. I've already got ccs64 setup and working on it's own and have played game on it with the controls configured for my game-pad. The roms are loaded into GameEx along with some auto downloaded artwork, but when i click to play a game GameEx just closes and then re-opens again a few seconds later.

Hope someone can help.

If you are using zip files on an emulator that does not handle zip files, you need to set GamesIn7Zips=False to true. I did do a config a while ago that unzip files for you (this also had the benefit when using gamebase that the other discs were unzipped and ready). Since then, GameEx added support natively.

Or, In Setup Wizard, Advanced Emulator Setup, set "Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge" to True (if that is easier)

Also, make sure your zips contain nothing other than the rom files, if this is not the case, remember to set your rom filter to match the file within the zip (ie. *.d64)

One thing to mention is that Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge support is available only if you have purchased a 1 year or Lifetime subscription to GameEx. Besides enabling Zip/7-Zip/GoodMerge support, you have a host of other useful features that you may be interested. More about these features can be found here.
