Launch shortcut (ink) instead of exe

Hi.

Is there a way to have GameEx launch a ink file versus exe file? For example, I need to launch Future Pinball but using my shortcut, not the exe file.

I would think that you would just need to change the filename for the executable (XYZ.exe) to the link name (123.lnk) in the emulator config for Future Pinball. Anyone else?

Sure thing. Make sure your ROM directory points to a directory containing all your shortcuts. Next set your ROM filter to *.lnk, and your emulator command could be something as simple the following (if your shortcut launches Future Pinball wiht the Table specified)

"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

On second thought I think I may have misread your intent here. I thought you were asking about creating shortcuts to your tables, rather than to the Future Pinball executable. Draco's answer will be your best bet.

Give that a shot and see how it goes. If that doesn’t work, please provide a copy of your Emulator config (at the very least), as well as your GameEx log and runitgame.bat (if you feel like really going the extra mile in helping us to help you )
