Problem with playing videos

hi, i've problem playing videos in gameex. i've installed a codec pack to decode divx and more. video is playing correctly in normal windows, but when integrated in gameex, i can't see the video. for me it looks like a overlay problem. if i open a video i can see a short image from the first scene, remember image not part of the movie. if i press pause, i can again see the actual image of the movie and so on. but i never can't see the video fully working. i've allready searched in the forum and also tryed to change some configs, linke vsync and others, but with no effect. please help me.

problem exists also in new version 5.70. i know it could not be very much, but i can't find the problem. i i hold one pause or forward button pressed i can see fashing sequences of the movie, the screen is always getting black after i release the button. please help.

unfortuanatly, i can't help you but i did have a similar problem. everytime i went to a mame game that had a movie, gameex would crash. the movies were divx avi's. i also had some mpg vid's that did play fine, though. i think it has something to do with gameex dealing with avi's or, specifically, the divx format. best of luck...

thank you for your answer. i think you have problems with your divx codec, try to reinstall oder try to use another codec.

to my problem, does anyone have an idea? please guys, i need some infos. i've already tried all my ideas, but without luck.

my problem still exists, and i've tried all the different video codecs which were discussed in this board without any success. now i've created a short video file to show what's going on. as you can see, the video starts, flashes up short, then goes to black screen, each time if i press a button like pause (the left green one) or forward (the right yellow one) the video is flashing up again then black. please, i need you help guys.

I've had some problems withs codecs - the problem was the 32bit setting + nvidia-drivers...

i've again tried to change everything, and my problem is solved it was only the 32bit in windows, changed it to 16bit and everything works fine now. i'm so happy, and a big thank you goes to TOKY. it's a very courios problem, because in windows works everything fine, but not in gameex. but from now i've never think about it, it's fixed. :-)

To solve the Problem I have changed to 16bit color - looks not very good on some Themes...

I've found a new solution:

I have a Geforce2 GTS and now I have installed the Nvidia PureVideo-Decoder from http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_decoder.html - (only a trial-version ) - and set the CODECs in GameEx to Nvidia and now all videos works fine in 32BIT color....
