how can i customize the game options in game ex??

for example, in the main menu that shows mame options, it says

All Mame Games

Mame Original Games

Mame Adult Games

4 Player Simultaneous games

Last Mame Game

Mame Vector games

ect

i went thru the config tool and i was able to turn on and off certain games.

i would like to know how to show all the games, but remove some menu only options

like "adult games, vector games, horizontal games, " and only keep a few menu options..

also, is it possible to hide the category on top?

i dont want to see "multimedia, shut down tab, change view tab"

i would like to set it up to where it only shows the mame games, and the emulators.

nothing else, no rss feed, no weather, no media center, or dvd ripping, or radio...

MAME lists are set under advanced MAME settings.

You can disable the horizontal menu by changing interface mode to simple under display settings.

Practically everything can be disabled. Some are turned off under there relevant section, eg multimedia, news the rest are under enable/disable features. You can also create your own menus with the menu editor.

but if i disable it from advance mame options some games wont show up in "all games"

for example i chose to hide 4 player games, and sunset riders never showed up in my all games, only until afteri changed 4 player games back to ON in advance mame settings, did that specific game show up.

If its doing that its a bug, as its not supposed to. I had a quick look at a code and I cant see that it would be doing that. The individual lists should just filter the global entire list and not disable those games if not enabled.

Can you post a copy of your gameex.ini, please? This may help to narrow-down if it is a bug or an option conflict.
