Disable Update List prompt and Button 2 for game info

Hi I have just bought GameEx.

Being new to this I have a few questions.

1. How do I disable it so it doesn't pop up asking to update list every time I launch Ex. If my friend or I accidently press ok, it takes to finish so I want to do this manually by the menu only.

When I run any game, I press number 2 to start the 2nd player it goes back to game info. Anyone know how to chang this behavior?

Hi, welcome.

1. That must be your key mappings in MAME or you GameEx. To check the key mappings for MAME press TAB. If that does not work please post config\custominput.ini (zip it first).

2. This feature cannot be disabled. However it should only prompt you if you change your MAME version or move it. Let me know if that is not the case then it must be a bug.

Also, check that the in game key under input settings is not mapped to your 2 player button.

Hi,

1. MAME mapping is fine as it works fine when I run the emulator by itself or in hyperspin. Before the game launches in GameEx it shows the player control key layout and says press 2 if i want to view this in game. I think this is what is causing it. Attached is my custom control config.

2. I am running the latest version of MAME. It does this everytime I reboot. It only asks once per boot.

The update prompt bug should be fixed in the current version. Go grab it. The in game key is changed under input settings. Change it to something else like an F key.
