setup wizard issue

Hit a small snag with the setup wiz.with the old advanced config utility you used to be able to set separate paths for mameinfo.dat,catver.ini,controls.dat,command.dat & history.dat reason being is every time GameEX updates it overwrites the newer files I put there with older versions.well you cannot do this with the setup wizard,well if you can I dont see how but it is kind of important if you update with the "u" releases like I do.Hopefully this can be fixed?

Well spotted dave, hadnt noticed that one. Im sure they'll be on it ASAP

I would just change the file properties on those to 'read only' if you want a temporary workaround. This also ensures it only updates when you want it to be updated.

GameEx will skip the file if it can't overwrite it AFAIK.

Or simply make a backup of the files before updating.
