  1. is there any way to have the "all mame games" list appear as soon as gameex boots? i.e. instead of going emulatedgames/mame/allmamegames have it replace the start page so to speak? along with that is there a way to bypass the info screen after selecting a game? like if you select street fighter 2, have it launch the game? so basically i'd like to turn on my cab, and have it displaying the list of ALL mame games. then upon selecting a game, i want it to boot without showing me the cabs, screens, info etc. upon leaving the game i'd like it to return to the ALL mame games list. the cab i'm building will only feature mame games and will be on display in a public place. (barber shop) don't worry i'm not even putting a coin door on it for it will be strictly freeplay. i just want to minimize all the menus and so forth making it as user friendly as possible. thanks guys you're all awesome. ka TOOOZ
  2. thank you so much iano, this is exactly the pdf i was looking for.
  3. hi all, i'm building cabinet number 2 and my first cab featured lusid's arcade cabinet layout... upon going to arcadecontrols.com and clicking cabinets/building cabinets lusid's blueprints are "not found". anyone with the dimensions please pm me, or post it in this thread, thank you so much in advance, since i'm sure it will turn up here. -katuuuz.
  4. kaze, is there any way i can have the full US .nes romset (and if it's not asking too much .smc ((i'd really be happy with just .nes though))) playable on my ds? i have all the roms -- clarification for anyone who thought i was asking for sets -- i just went to your page you linked and am either completely stupid or waht i thped isn't in the site's contents.
  5. hey everyone, i just bought a nintendo ds to take up some down time at the barber shop i work at. (when it's slow, it's SLOW). i was just wondering (since i know this forum is stocked with game geniuses) if there is anyway to download/play nes roms on it... even super nes (it has enough buttons). i think it would be extra cool to go from pheonix wright to mega man 2 while waiting for haircuts. thanks in advance my fellow compadres. 0katuuuz0
  6. how about ControlPane. edit: sick job by the way.
  7. wow that's serious. still praying for you man, you'll get through it... that's what happens when you get old unfortunately.
  8. Gameex, use it or continue being gay.

    Two questions

    ditto.
  11. ya this is pretty much why i don't have goodmerged sets. thanks to pimpdaddy i was able to delete all the non-(U) roms with a few strokes of the mouse. that program kicks ass stu.
  12. way to go brian.
  13. what does "unknown garbage data" mean when launching certain nes games? is there anyway to have nestopia bypass this warning message?
  14. that's what i'm talking about get that money out.
  15. i ended up buying a dreamcast off ebay for like $40 some odd dollars, it's plugged into video 2 of my cabinet and there's a shelf it sits on behind the coin door... open the front door of the cab put in a disk, grab a controller close the door and jam on.
  16. Tom, I had to bring the discussion to the forums for your inbox is full. I just tried uploading my theme again, and ended up uninstalling winrar because wrapping my files in 7z resulted in a rar file for some reason - anyway it has to be a winzip file? I would have thought 7z was considered a form of zip file no?
  17. Ok everyone, i've changed up the MIKEADE for it's name now is Kab.net.. (figured who besides someone named mike would have wanted it previously) also I've changed up all the backgrounds to jet black making it easier on the eyes and i think i've improved it by far.. all existing emubaks have been updated to look like this... i'll pm night and see if he can put the refurbished Kab.net up on the themes page... p.s. looks extra great if you have the emumovies isntead of snaps. stretched the movies to 640x480.
  18. i agree. i find the best emus for netplay are nestopia, mame32, snes9x, gens+, project64 ((although i played online a short while at least 8 months back, i know project 64 couldn't run netplay in full screen which is corny)) --basically the kaillera client kicks ass. i couldn't imagine getting it to run in gameex (and for those of us with lo-def televisions in our cabs) would have trouble reading the servers/games to join. if you can do it more power to ya, it'd be cool to meet up on the gameex forum and challenge each other to a game. then we could really get some cool free registration raffle tournaments if tom's feeling hip to do so.
  19. never mind turning off caps worked.
  20. how would i do this?
  21. stu just wanted to tell everyone on the forum you are the man indeed. all of my roms match my videos and everything is looking stellar. thanks again. p.s. i'm keeping the tools you uploaded for they are excellent and i may have use for them in other situations.
  22. i was wondering instead of sequels being named "dragon's quest II, III" and so on, is there a way to either make gameex display capitals instead of just at the beginning of a word or after a period? for example dragon's quest III is displayed "Dragons Quest Iii" and it looks goofy. if not, is there a way to display the numerals instead of roman numerals?
  23. thanks man. will do.
  24. well it's workign now, weird. although sometimes while playing in gameex it will cut from the video and display a frozen title screen with the audio still running in the background, then after a few seconds it goes back to playing video.
  25. what do you think it could be?
