  1. Also, if null's methods don't work for some reason you could try forcing aspect ratio on your GPU, the settings are different for each manufacturer but for instance on ATI cards go to the monitor section (may be something like DTV - [HDMI]) > Attributes > Enable GPU Scaling > Maintain aspect ratio. NVidia cards have a similar setting but you'll have to use your intiative to find it as i don't own one. As for the integrated intel chips i'm not sure but any modern GPU should support forcing aspect ratio in some way
  2. Perfect! Much better, and so fast On top of your game as usual Tom, Sir! And on a Friday night too - respect Regenerated Theme Page
  3. TTX can be quite demanding on your system if you decide to look into it, but also seems to depend on your hardware configuration quite a lot, for instance i can run GigaWing Generations flawlessly on my i3 but Homura is a no go - it's stop, start, stop, start yet on my Dads Bulldozer it runs like butter and GigaWing just freezes. Each "rom" can also take quite a bit configuring and tinkering to even get loaded, but in my opinion it's worth it! It's def the one people will be amazed at I quoted rom because they are actually normal PC executables
  4. Oh now i'm with ya! Thank the silicon heavens for Daemon Tools huh See folks, with a little patience you too can educate an idiot. Just donate £2 a month to PlebsNeedYou and we'll make sure that one moron can tie their shoe laces

    Custom menu ?

I never knew this! Thanks! Oh GameEx, Just when i thought i got to know you so, You slap me once again and demand "NO!"
  6. When they talk about unlocking your phones does it mean breaking the underlying OS or unlocking it so it's not restricted to one particular provider? Either way it's a ridiculous law! Sounds like good news for you guys. And yes Tom i believe you are correct. If i recall it's illegal to make copies of anything copyrighted. And it's against the law to service your own car?? whaaaaa... EDIT - oh you said non copyrighted! hmmmm i'll have to look into that because now i'm curious! EDIT 2 - you said copy protected - dammit lol ok hands up i'm clueless lol
  7. Ahhh! thanks for clearing that up - i haven't looked at the Pi in detail yet and just glanced over Draco's links before i went to bed last night but i will def look into it more now as it looks like an impressive bit of kit - for £30! I understand where you're coming from, as a few years ago you needed to be a Terminal King (command line guru) to get anything worthwhile done in Linux but things have changed! There are distro's out there now designed for ease of use and have a UI for everything - Mint is one such distro and is targeted @ Windows users (has a very similar layout) and it's so fast! You should check it out - you may be pleasantly surprised If there was a native Linux GE then that'd be it - byebye Windows! Not that i particularlly dislike Windows - i just like Linux much more
  8. You could try adding the driver to Launch On Startup in Tweaks and Performance settings, or alternatively use a batch file to load them before GameEx, then point InstantSheller to the batch file. You could even put a wait process before GE to give the drivers time to initialize properly. Just throwing out some ideas - it's what i do Good luck!
  9. So, you'll basically have an all-in-one "portable" arcade stick emulation machine?! Sounds like a winner to me man! I've GOT to see this if you go ahead with it -EDIT- Although i don't see why all the nonsense ftp'ing your roms over, why not just copy them to the card from your main PC? Or is it assuming a non Linux main PC? Glad i have dual boot main
  10. Yeh it is! Nice score man! What happened to sucking eh? I'll have to get my concentration hat on (i actually have one - it says "concentrate, dammit!" on the front
  11. You could try Any Video Converter - it supports batch processing so you can just point to your vid snap folder, set to rotate 270 degrees and go Worth a shot?
  12. You mentioned you're using modified ATI drivers?? They might not be loading properly before GameEx boots - or even at all!
  13. Looking good there Tom And i second what others have said - that ticker is very cool indeed! Good clean color scheme too. I have one teenie niggle and it's nothing to do with the design and i hate to criticise a brilliant overhaul in any way - the thumbs on the theme page look a bit gnarly now the previews are bigger, i guess it's probably using the old thumbs and need to be regenerated I just mention it because the theme page will probably be one of the first visited once a user has tried/downloaded GE - it's what i do with every program i try outstanding work though i like it a lot!
  14. Nice score there! makes me wanna play it more! this is what it's about I'm taking that as you "don't like sucking banana's"! I don't either. So get your game on Han - Sir!
  15. ohhhh snap really?! wait PBFX or PBFXII? coz basically Pinbal FX 2 and Trials Evo are in my opinion the best arcade/live games ever released! I have so many tables too and i sold my box! lol
  16. Understood and completely agree! Otherwise i'd be in spot 2-5 right now as all my attempts were higher than 36620 I think the easiest to way to put it is "Only your best score will be entered in the table, however you may beat your own score as many times as you want"
  17. Sweet! well in that case i'll post this one i just did, just to get my name on there for now. I'll be honest i only played Galaga once or twice as a kid - we had Moon Cresta at my local-cade which is similar but quite different i'll get the hang of it though! Score - 78690 PS. Does Galaga save the scores for anyone else? It won't for me which is weird! It saves for many others but not Galaga 148u1-nonag-hiscore self compile.
  18. Quick question - are we allowed to post as many high scores as we like (if we beat our own)? Imma try get on this tomorrow! But if we only allowed 1 shot well then imma make sure i give celly a run not saying i'll beat him but i'll dam try! sweet score there bud - way to set the bar
  19. Try switching Aero off (or on) and disabling anything that might be messing the Windows theme - mviars had a similar issue. You can always switch it back when you're done editing
  20. "PWN or be PWNed" The answer i am eagerly awaiting!

  21. 1) Everybody has to use the default dip-switch-settings of Twin Galaxies when playing a Mame-game Great idea and i'm all for this! Not only does it make it easy to decide what settings we should use we can see how well (or more likely how bad) we are compared to the best. 2) You're allowed to only use 1 credit per game 100% agree - i'm a shmupper and in my realm a run isn't really considered legit unless it's a 1-cred run 3) You have to submit a screenshot of your hi-score screen It's the easiest solution and as mentioned a million times most people here and interested in this little comp are probably honest and honorable so this suits me fine. I'm still gonna record mine in case i'm disputed In all honesty though i suck at pretty much everything apart from shmups lol so i doubt i'll be much of a contender but i'll give my dam best at whatever game is chosen
  22. I 2nd +1 to #2. twice. My top 12: ANY shoot em up!
  23. Did you remember to Update List after you excluded sfiii? You must do this when making any changes to your MAME list
  24. Hi dboyrecords, I totally missed this post - i apologise for that! It's quite simple really - all i did was put all the tables in separate folders ie all the "original" tables in one folder and all the "recreated" tables in another, then setup Future Pinball twice (using two different emulator slots) in the Setup Wizard Then using CustomMenu's you can easily group them together if you want to (although i didn't as you can see) so the menu would look like this: -[ Emu 1 -[ Emu 2 -[ Future Pinball ........-[ Original Tables ........-[ Recreated Tables -[ Emu 4 etc Good luck & don't hesitate to come back if you need further assistance - i shall try to keep an eye on my own guide more closely!
