Fair enough! My intention wasn't to insult you or any of your work KRC, i think you could all quite rightly call me a blind, mental bar steward if i did I love your work man! Always top notch. Sorry if i came across that way
-
Glad you got that sorted! I would recommend a hardware encoder for capturing what you mentioned as most software recorders (AFAIK) don't switch focus with the windows - they just "stick" to whichever DX program has focus when you start capturing. The Live Gamer HD for example or maybe even an external PVR device
-
Hi stigzler, Seems like you're having a focus issue of some sort - but what do i know Have you tried running GE in compatibilty mode? Maybe try W7 and work your way backwards. Worth a shot?
-
Wow nice score for your first submission! And welcome to the forum! I think i'm gonna have to try this one again heheh

Those are great! Being a bit of a shmupper i always wanted a vert-cab if i ever get around to it, but wondered how tricky it would be and how to pretty-up the 4:3 games as the huge black borders on 4:3 just look terrible on a vert screen. Nice job and very inspiring! Nice cab too!

I believe Tom's hotfix was to address the info in brackets, pertaining to the recent database updates ie (USA ver.1.008989898) etc and will not make a difference to missing info in the databases themselves. I would wait a bit as GreatFlash and a few others are overhauling them

KRC! I like this idea you came up with and this pack or set will become epic i know it! Great job so far! I have but one niggle - the Steam logo. I don't want to come across as a moaning mini, or any kind of whinger for that matter but the pack is intended to be a "character" pack, yes? Well it's the only one you have shown that doesn't incorporate a character! It can be hard to associate Steam to any characters if you are not a PC gamer i understand, but if you've been a Valve fan since the 1990's there are some that are synonymous to them Gordon Freeman is the most iconic, from the half life series, i know it's not strictly Steam but mention Valve (of which Steam is a division of) then most people will picture good ol Gordon Also any characters from Team Fortress 2 these days, and particularlly the "Heavy". I don't mean to be a pain in your ass KRC really i do not, but i also say what i see

Congrats on getting your kit! I've seen snippets here n there over the months but don't know extensive amounts of detail about it. It's supposed to be the first affordable home VR system right? I read that Valve had some interest in it a while back, i don't know if that is still the case, but there were rumors going around that they may well make it an official peripheral for the new SteamBox, at least a version of it. Would love to hear your thoughts on how it would be integrated into GE and maybe even some feature ideas that would utilise it fully!
-
Nice job there! I would have taken it if it meant a dump job but in all honesty i'm glad you took it - you did a good job and it looks like it has a nice new home there! Great work man

lol! Which side though is the question I watched it KRC, after 4 dam weeks of it being advertised nearly every break - you know what channel 5 is like and i liked it enough that i am now up to ep-09 I too am a Stephen King fan and not much of a TV fan but i always make a point of checking his TV/movie adaptations. This is definitely one of the higher production ones and i'm thoroughly enjoying it! As a fan i'm sure you'll agree that Mr King has a very unique, if not messed up mind when it comes to his sci-fi/horror imagination and Under the Dome is living up to my expectations so far. I've not read this one so i have no idea how it's all supposed to pan out but i sincerely hope that it doesn't follow the current trend of TV series coming out of the states - where one season gets made, gets cancelled, then leaves everyone hanging. I hate that. Infact its become such a fashion as of late that when i see a new "series" is coming from America i check online to see if it has been cancelled before i invest my time in it. No offence intended to you guys that live there, it just seems to be a trend lately that gets my goat

You may need to delete the cache files related to the emulator, located in \GameEx\DATA. This will force GE to rebuild the list next time it loads. So, lets say for example you have Magic Engine setup in emulator slot 1, delete all files labeled EMU_1xxx, if it's setup in slot 73 then all files named EMU_73xxx etc etc. -EDIT- i see from your snippet in OP that it is emulator 14, so try deleting all files with EMU_14 in it

I think you are spot on there, I've always been fond of both PC and consoles, they always had their pro's and con's for me and so have never really stuck with one or the other (i go through stages like i think any normal person would ) but i do have to agree that i think the console market have slowed game developement quite a bit recently - look at the 670 - it's been around for over 12 months and can already produce better graphics than the next gen consoles. There simply hasn't been anything pushing the hardware lately and that's because of the unusually long life cycle of the 360&PS3. I think now is a good time to be a PC gamer, your hardware will now start getting used

You lucky, lucky man All i have is a song about Valerie... wanna hear it? K. Here goes...
-
Poor Valerie - but i love that it's her score he's trying to beat! That guy def has his priorities staight!
-
Totally agree! Definitely one of the more unique multiplayer experiences i've had, Chaos Theory was also a cracking single player campaign and the last Splinter Cell i played. And null, yet again i can't fault your opinion on the comparisons mith MGS! I too only played MGS and MGS2 and like you said in MGS it does seem like you're hiding more to avoid, rather than to ambush which SC was great for. I did love SC back in the day but i've lost my enthusiasm for it in recent years. Maybe because of friends slating the later releases i dunno.
-
I would also like to just drop this here as it is the best guide (IMO) for compiling MAME from the command line yourself. Both null's advice in using HeadKaze's compiler and running the commands yourself are good practice - i just like to give people options You'll thank yourself in the long run for compiling yourself, whichever method you choose
-
Hi there Chaos, Try disabling the game info page, this will make it so GE launches all games with one click and will also return to the menu after game-exit. Go to Enable/Disable Features in the Setup Wizard and change Show Game Information to No.

Draco! Loving this theme! I'm just setting up all my systems again as we have a huge party happening this evening and no doubt someone will want to play. However upon setting my custom menu's i noticed there was no gamegear logo, so i knocked one up real dam quick Got lots to do today so it's not fancy but works as a temp till you release an update pack. I know making logo's is far too time consuming and it's the only one in my setup that is missing so thought what the heck This theme really did end up how i wanted mine to be! My fave theme in recent times for sure. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it Draco, Sir! If anyone wants it for completion here you go:

-Only made a new post because it's been more than 2 weeks since my last, i apologise if it's the wrong thing to do. Wow, this game is tough! I bought the remake on XBLA and thought that was harsh but my memories were obviously warped - this is brutal! Now i remember why i was so reluctant to put my coins in this one Not much improvement i'm afraid - just beat rtkiii, just! lol Score: 1,168,920 Initials: DAZ
-
Enjoy yourself man! Have a cracking time! Don't worry we'll be on Hans' case, keeping him alert while you're gone I'm a bit jealous myself to be honest

HAHA it tickles me that such a major part of my childhood is enjoyed around the world! null has a very good insight of what the Doc is all about, and like he said it's not for everyone but once you peek, you can't stop. A space-time vigilante with a major moral compass that gets tested relentlessly - is how i would describe it I agree on the the newer "hip" docs to some extent, but then is that because i grew up with the old docs? Also, the new docs made him cool again when he was "dead". Old doc is wise, he is cunning, intelligent. Young Doc is cocky, cool, hip and might, just might, just once, get it on with one of his assistants Karen Gillan people, Ms Pond!

I'm using 148, 148u1 specifically and it works fine, i'm sure i played it on 145 too, i know i didn't update for a while. I can't believe it finally gets in and only GC and I are posting To those that don't see it in their list - as pointed out by Adultery - it is marked as imperfect so you will need to "allow imperfect" in GE for it show To those shoot em up fans who may be reading - try it, and then come back and show some appreciation for a cracking game In all honesty i kept on voting for this coz it truely is an awesome game and one that not many have either heard of or know about, and not because i'm good at it. If i was going that route then my votes would be drastically different I truely thought you guys would be pushing me by now Still, it's an ongoing board so i hope someone, including GC will step up soon

It seems to me, and i am by no way a Steam guru that it's finding some games and not others, probably because of the differing drives. Now you've confirmed that most of your Steam games are not on your OS drive we may need to see some more info to rule some things out. Please refer to nullPointer's post or above quote to forward the files we need to get you rolling Thanks!
