  1. Not a problem! I am glad you got it sorted out. I havd marked this thread as resolved. Please open a new thread with attached gameex.ini and log.txt files if any further issues.
  2. Since this topic was opened for Future Pinball AIO I've marked the thread resolved and set the lock. Thanks to @Mike_da_Spike and @scutters for your help as always and @[email protected] reporting back timely with your results. If any issues with VPX, please open a new thread with pinballx.ini and log.txt files attached to your description of the issue. Cheers!
  3. Just in case you do not see the documentation included within your latest update that @Mike_da_Spikeis referencing, you can find it here:
  4. Not yet. Had some stuff come up and haven't configured it yet. Hopefully things will slow down over the next few weeks so I can play a little!
  5. Have you tried this? Go to Advance Config Click the ... In GameEx Advanced Config Editor deselect Map Escape Click File Click Save As... Enter a filename.ini in the File Name field Click Save Go back to your Advanced Emulator Setup and click the dropdown at the end of Advanced Config and select the name of the config you created for the emulator, then click the next arrow in the Setup Wizard to save. Repeat for each emulator.
  6. Please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review when requesting assistance. Also, if you don't mind, please indicate what kind of CP you are using for your games. Are you using: A. Keyboard and mouse? B. Gamepad or joystick? C. Cabinet controls? D. Mix of the above? Asking just in case there may be considerations.
  7. Please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files when requesting assistance for an issue. Also, be aware of where your are posting threads for assistance to ensure proper visibility and assistance.
  8. How? This helps others with the same issue. Thanks!
  9. Check your log.txt file on that PC for the Arcade Edition version. It may be a deprecated setting of it ever was an option.
  10. I do not recall that ever being an option in Arcade Edition. Are you maybe thinking of the options under Display > Interface Mode, of whic there are Normal, GameLauncher, and GameLauncher - MAME available?
  11. I merged your thread with the existing Theme Editor Questions thread. Unfortunately there is not a comprehensive guide on how to use it and much of my experience has been trial & error to the point of bypassing using it altogether and creating my themes by replacing existing images and/or video backgrounds as needed. If you can provide more information as to which themes you are referencing I or someone else might be able to assist you in an answer.
  12. In order to adequately support your implementation of PinballX you need to upgrade to the latest as many bug fixes and enhancements have been put in place. Please consider upgrading before you continue.
  13. If you don't mind then, please reverse your workaround changes, launch GameEx, and attach updated copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. This may be a Tom thing to help resolve but having these will be a good place to start. Thanks!
  14. Do you want to try to address the primary issue (integrated MAME support favorites and repeated update list) vs. the issue impacting your MAME workaround?
  15. Please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files when reporting an issue. Thank you.
  16. You're welcome! Glad that worked out for you!
  17. Have you had any luck finding a solution? From my research and based upon the error you are reporting, if you are attempting to launch the games via WinKawaks and MAME and not able to via GameEx, then it is probable that there is an issue with the BIOS and/or ROM set you are using. You noted that there is no problem running the games outside of GameEx however which is puzzling.
  18. Thanks for finding that elusive reference! This is done via modification of the gameex.ini file: - Open your gameex.ini file in a text editor (Suggestion: Notepad++ works best, especially for editing xml and html formatted files. And it's FREE!) - Find the [General] section -add a line ShowGenres=False - Save the file then launch Let us know how that works for you.
  19. Can you link to the forum post where you saw this? Can you link to the post where this was said to have been implemented? Thanks!
  20. Have you asked Terry Red here? https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=51600
  21. Agreed, not a valid link. Use http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/527-pinballx/ to access/download the latest PinballX installer.
  22. Before I tinker again just want to be clear: - OK to change integrated MAME settings ONLY via Setup Wizard - Do NOT change anything else (i.e., Themes, add emulators, etc.) At present and from what I observed in the package, GameEx and AE are sharing the gameex.ini file - is that a correct assumption?
  23. Instructions on how to open LAV Filters here. Locate the Video Settings and match the Output formats as Tom noted on the other post. Hopefully that will work for you.
  24. Can you attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files please? Thanks!
  25. I did exactly what I understood you to say and went through the Setup Wizard and do not see anything out of sorts for my setup. I ran the GameEx Arcade Edition.exe and the following occurred: Apparently, I am missing something but no clue what if following your instructions to launch one of the three executibles. GameEx.ini log.txt Player.log
