System Clock Appears Upper Left on Desktop System
Mike_da_Spike replied to mthomps48's topic in General
You must have enabled it, as it is off by default. There is also a manual with all settings that PBX offers(someone put a lot of time and effort in it). It is shipped with PinballX and downloadable in the download section. Here you go:- 1 reply

Not sure if it is only me, but lately PinballX takes a long time to close. This happen when screensaver mode (attract mode) is runnign for a while and I want to exit (or shutdown). My first thought it was coming because I had multiple plugins enabled, but even with all my plugin disabled, I have this issue. I created a small video and attach the log file from the same time. it's almost 2 minutes before it closes the back glass video and start with the exit scripts. When having my plugins (DOF, Statistics, de-randomizer and PinemHi) it can take longer. Looks like the time to close PBX depends also on the time the screensaver runs. According to the log the exit is starting at '07:17:08.00 28-11-2022: Exiting', but the actually exit command was given around 2 minutes earlier EDIT : When I disable my real DMD (pinDMDv3) by changing the pinDMD.ini com port to a non-existing com port. PinballX will close almost immediately when pressing the exit, during a 10 min screensaver mode. Is this maybe related to the issue that my PinDMD is still active when launching a table after screensaver mode? The first 55 sec can be skipped. PBX.mp4 Edit : Turnign off 'Attract mode ' shows the same behaviour. When I close PBX, alt-tab to backglass, release alt+tab and hit alt-f4, it closes directly the backglass video and exit PinballX. log.txt PinballX.ini

So, random shows that Loading Videos is working. This is default behaviour of pinballx. All the videos will be randomized showed when a table is launched You only got 1 video, so it will only show that video during all of a table . You need to have videos for all tables to show more For example, this is my loading videos folder: this contains videos for all my tables I have or, to have it as a system : And as mentioned before, your plugin to de-randomize it, is not enabled. Check a couple of post back from me and scutters. The thread of Scutters shows exactly how to enable, and configure it. I put a link in the 2nd post of this thread. When you enable this, and launch pbx once, it will de-randomize the videos. But you must be sure that the video names are matching the correct table name. For this you can add the videos with correct name with Database manager as well. This will give the correct name that the plugin expects When launching DBM after the plugin is enabled and PinballX is launched 1 time It will show the hourglass icon (this represent that you have Scutters plugin enabled within PBX) Dragging any media video to it, will save the file in the correct directory on the file name and Scutters plugin will take care of it I hope this all make sense now

It is a known bug in x360ce. See https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce/issues/830#issuecomment-1321113284 It started for me a couple of weeks ago when I added Pinball FX to my Cabinet (see post of Joyrider). I have W11 running for a while and a pinscape controller. It is just the config tool that has an issue to enumerate the devices. Version 4.x is working as a charm, but no solution for a front end as it creates a new joydevice and the button numbering confuses the front end (mine ended up to starting slow) Version 3.2 is still working fine, but the x360ce could launch which this error. A game doesn't need the x360ce.exe. this is just the tool to configure the ini file. A game uses the .dll file that it embedded in the exe file. A large list of games is added and shows which dll is used by which game. Mostly it is xinput1_3.dll, but I thought Zacaria uses xinput1_4.dll These dll's only differences in name. So, you can just use them. The dll uses x360ce.ini as input file. This ini file is created with x360ce.exe. My issue was that the plunger (that was mounted as 'half inverted xas' on the right thump stick) was being pulled all the time and needed to set a dead zone. After creating a correct x360ce.ini manually, all my games were working again. There are some older versions like 2.0 of the exe file, that is working as well. And you can use the dll from 3.2 with this created ini file. I hope this make sense. It took me more than a week to understand the complete process and get my complete cab up and running again, but all my Steam and Epic games are working again

It should be in "Pinballx\Media\Loading Videos"
-
Your loadimage logfile is from 2019. 10/10/2019 9:28:43 AM : PBXLoadingImage (Version: 2.1.0) 10/10/2019 9:28:43 AM : Loading Images path: C:\Visual Pinball\PinballX\Media\Loading Images\ 10/10/2019 9:28:43 AM : Loading Videos path: C:\Visual Pinball\PinballX\Media\Loading Videos\ 10/10/2019 9:28:43 AM : PinballX Loading Media flat set to use playfield images. Plugin will not process loading images. 10/10/2019 9:28:43 AM : Initialize Complete 10/10/2019 9:29:13 AM : PinballX Exit The plugin is not enabled. But back to your issue. Is it not showing any loading video when a game is starting? Without the pluging it should show a random video from the folder. If not, do you have the files in the correct folder?
-
Did you enabled the use of loading folders in your settings.exe ? I see in your ini file that. It is turned off [Interface] UseTableLoadingMedia=False On page 4-5 of the PinballX documentation it is also explained how it is working Also check my post link in my previous message from Scutters . This will also explain the works of it (and to de-randomize it)
-
You mean this ? Or doesn't it show anything ? Please provide some more info and at least your config file and your log file
-
I'm pretty curious if it os working fine as well. Wanted to order it during the crowd funding, but never get to it. I barely dont play on my arcade, but some games with light gun would be a nice to have If you have setup all @Tom Speirs, I expect a noce video with you and the gun in action. Or you planning to make the gameex application to work with it ?

System underlays (Straight and Curved)
Mike_da_Spike replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in PinballX Media Projects
I also added some 'straight' underlays. Suffix [Mike DA Spike 2k Straight] Some examples as well : Here's an example how it shows on the cab : -
HIRez00 created a long time ago some underlays for me. He asked me to NOT distribute them, and I respected that. As I understand from him, he was massive fallout, backlash and accusations for his latest release of Halloween. Some big names (I will not mention them by name) slammed him publicly and even went as far to get him banned / thrown off of Facebook, which was the last straw for him. He will no longer be posting any of his creations for the VPX community to download freely on any public site. But he gave me permission to post his underlays. The files are all 4k If put the underlays on FTP with suffix [HIRez00 4K] in the name on /-PinballX-/Media/System Underlays and can be downloaded easily with Database manager Here are some examples: I re-created some of those files in red and resolution is 2k (1440x2560) as my playfield monitor is just QHD Also on FTP with Suffix [Mike DA Spike 2k] Here are some examples as well : I want to thank HIRez00 for all his great work and contribution for the pinball community in the past years. Thanks buddy, I really appreciate the work you did ! Within PBX it can show like this :

PBX activating while in the middle of playing a VPX Table
Mike_da_Spike replied to gpstevens's topic in General
I never seen this issue. In the log file I only see that you played batman not Family guy. Strange part is that batman rom is found as 'pinball'. I see a pinballx error in the log, but dont see what it is causing. Can you post an extra log where you play other tables to compair? When you lose your ball during multiball, do you do something (bang the cabinet, or push multiple buttons at the same time??) EDIT : Can you post a screenshot of your Visual Pinball key settings as well ? -
You wont believe what I'm using ... The morphing is done via ffmpeg (thanks to scutters who providing me the commands a time ago) Also the overlays are done via ffmpeg

Release 2022.11.22.0 available. @DBrown67 asked for some extra to get on the statistics plugin. With this release of DBM, we added extra information from IPDB to the system XML file. This is turned off by default, so enable this in the setting dialog : Enabling this feature will add an extra icon on the main form (and also enable some extra checkboxes in the Bulk IPDB) The button will not be showed on System List media and button is only active when there is an IPDB nr. Clicking on this button give an extra form Adding the extra info, can be done, by clicking the "Import info" button. Make sure the radio buttons and checkbox is correct selected. You can also use your own text in the fields.| You don't need an internet connection for getting the data from IPDB, all is embedded in DBM We updated the IPDB list for this to IPDB nr 6937 Some small tweaks were done on the main form to align the icons/texts a bit. We changed the save of the XML file as well. No header is in the XML anymore as the file is saved in the correct format. All PBX fields and values will be written, but any empty fields that DBM is using, will not be written. This will reduce the XML file size a bit. Another small feature is that DBM will not be opened twice if it is running from the same location. You can run multiple instances of DBM from different directories a big thanks to @scutters for this release again. he helped with ideas, code, design, debugging, testing and my mental health Hope you like it Now it is up to @scuttersfor an update on his statistics plugin.

Thanks @joyrider3774. I really appreciate the time you spend on this to make it work ! I made 2 different playfield videos for the daily free tables Daily_PF2.mp4 Daily_PF1.mp4 and backglasses : bg2_free.mp4 bg1_free.mp4 And I created a new system wheel, so it shows nicely in my front end btw. Should it maybe be easier to create a settings file with the table location, instead of putting them in the AHK ? This would make an update a bit easier. Only adding it to a settings file and not compiling an AHK again

Yeah, I created a restore point. And deleted all HID game devices. Rebooted and same issue. I really don't get it. Edit: when I click continue and click save, the program can use the input from my controller, but controller 1 stays grey. Clicking on controller settings, is gives the same error. Looks like its not able to enumerate all joystick devices. I will leave it for now and maybe search for another program as all my steam app or not working anymore with my pincontroller

No install for X360Ce at all. Just an exe that creates filoes and registry entries. I cleaned registry (all x360ce deleted), files in c:\programdata\x360ce, Even uninstalled vjoy, cleaned Registry key for joysticks, disconenct my Stream Deck. But I cannot get the old version to work anymore. 32 and 64 bit giving the same error : Googling this, all say that you need a newer version. I should had create a restore point ....

Well, I entirely screwed up X360CE. I had version 3.2 running, but FX didn't want to run with that version. So removed all my 3.x version I had, And upgraded to 4.x (latest) Version 4 needs to launch manually, but doesn't need to be in all the directories. But launching it from a launch script, takes just too much time, and the game won't see it launched. Launching it during Windows start, PinballX launch takes a big longer, but during exit, it hangs Trying to go back to 3.2 it gives an error
