  1. FX3 might load a bit quicker if you add -offline to the launch parameters. No options to extend the loading screen time in pinballx exist.
  2. Same here with V4.13. After launching a table for the first time an entry is created in statistics.ini, but there is no dateadded field. Edit: downloaded and tried some old versions, looks like it broke in V4.07. V4.06 still adds dateadded to stats.ini, 4.07 doesn't.
  3. What else is set to run as admin (FP, VP, JoyToKey)? Also, did you try running joytokey as at windows startup (rather than launching with FX2 which it sounds like you do now as a launch before task)
  4. A side project? focus Mike, focus! I haven't checked, but is there an option in Topper creation to create a 1280*320 video without the dot overlay and that hasn't been downscaled to 128*32 before (so not pixelated)?. Might be kind of neat for topper users!
  5. I had to do a similar thing when i got stutter, but i was hitting limits of my GTX1060 6GB rather than cpu limits (so i didn't suggest it). Good to know it reduces overhead on both!
  6. Not a problem i have as i don't have a topper, but i know @HiRez00 has been doing some nice looking toppers at VPinball https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/categories/topper-videos/ If you're really stuck you could use instruction cards, like the apron display?. But i don't have one of those either so what would i know
  7. You called it Mike!, If you're using PinballX Database Manager as an alternative to the standard Game Manager then for VP tables you can automatically populate some table info for VP (table author and version), and also add your own comments - V1.4 of the statistics plugin can then display that in PinballX along with the high scores etc. It's nice to see the authors names as you scroll through your tables
  8. Gotcha, the dmd overlay on topper was just during initial testing / setup. Good job!... just got to find those topper videos now
  9. Nice! I think i remember seeing something about performance for DMD that recommended keeping the screen ratio at 4*1 (or it might have been a direct ratio multiple of 128*32) so maybe that's a factor when you go 'full screen'. Not sure what your plan is for toppers though, i'm probably reading it wrong but why have a topper playing behind the dmd - or are you just testing performance?
  10. As you mention virtuapin also have a look at (ignore the config for tilt etc if you have that working - just look at the pinballx and visual pinball button settings, yours should be similar - assuming you wired the virtua pin controller buttons as their documentation)
  11. You'll need to attach copies of your config and log files after exiting a table. Log file - .Pinballx\Log\Log.txt Config file - Pinballx\config\pinballx.ini Thanks
  12. Make sure you're on the latest version of pinup player (v1.4.4) for Harry Potter. Not sure if the issue you describe is what you might get with an older version.
  13. Looks like my proof reading wasn't up to scratch! . Thanks for the help testing. Can't speak for Mike's system table audio, but have you considered sounds of the arcades? https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=36720
  14. @Draco1962, thanks mate.. and thanks for the icon we used in the app!
  15. OBS studio is an option to capture FP, have a look at You might need the AMD plugin too https://github.com/obsproject/obs-amd-encoder. Don't know as i'm nvidia. Otherwise your best bet might be to search the FTP for media
  16. Great job Mike!. Well done mate. For info - anyone using the tool and liking the extra database information fields (like the VP table author details) and wanting to display them in PinballX front end then you can with the stats plugin;
  17. Yep, but he's not using DOF so i'm not sure why that plugin is enabled? @jdsabin1 did you check load times outside pinballx?
  18. Updated to V1.4 in first post. Includes optional selections to display table author / version and comments. These fields are not standard in current PinballX database xml so at this time won't display anything.
  19. Updated to V2.1.1 - attached to first post Added pause playback function, maps to whatever you have set in PinballX pause in game key/button. Playback resumes if pressed again or if music navigation button pressed (e.g. skip) And here's a quick video showing navigation using a remote control (using the Flirc V2). Apologies for poor quality etc
  20. I'm only using the custom lists now for playing tables, but the All Tables list is handy to hide tables from these lists by changing the Rating in PinballX. After adding [rating>0] to the Xpath queries in the first post (e.g. "/menu/game[type='SS'][rating>0]") i can then go through the All Tables list in PinballX and set any games i want hidden to a rating of 0. As the batch file runs on PinballX startup the next time i start PinballX any tables set to rating =0 will be hidden from the lists. Effectively on my setup this has the effect of disabling the table, but without having to go into Game Manager and remember which table(s) to disable. And if i ever want to try the table again it's still there in All Tables, so i can 're-enable' it during the next PinballX startup just by changing the rating. It's a pretty handy alternative to actually disabling the tables EDIT - And if you're using ALT CODE type characters in database xml then you may also want to include the encoding in the xmlstarlet cmd. E.g. the "E Windows-1252" here; xml sel -E Windows-1252 -t -c "/menu/game[type!='EM'][rating>0]" %SOURCEXML1% >> %OUTPUTXML1%
  21. 90 secs seems really slow to me, are you on a HD or SSD? Might be worth trying to add /minimized to your visual pinball launch parameters to hide the VP editor
  22. @Mike_da_Spike's AC/DC Loading video overlay as GIF version; Zip has light and dark versions for centre of loading screen overlay (bottom of screen versions on FTP) ACDC.zip
  23. Sounds great, i'm an offline cab guy though so won't be much use to me.. but I think it will be popular with others!
  24. Seems to be an FP thing. Have a look at @societyab 's workaround here;
