@johnwillsey I played around with media folders and symbolic links.. the only way i found to duplicate your error was to add files into media\Visual pinball and then create a new folder media\visual pinball\visual pinball and put the same files in it. There might be other ways i haven't found.. anyway, please give the attached a go when you get chance. It won't stop the error, but should give more info in the log / action log area on the cause for you so the files can be cleaned up. Only the exe attahed in the zip, so just replace the V1.4.0 exe you're using.

[PLUGIN] PinballX Loading Video & Image Changer (de-randomiser) V2
scutters replied to scutters's topic in User Projects
How to add an overlay? Do you mean for loading videos? Sorry, translator might be failing me. Have a look at loading videos thread https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/23114-loading-videos/ The easiest way to create loading videos is probably the tools on page 4, Mike Da Spikes apps will add set overlays to playfield videos for use as loading videos.- 40 replies

My fault... i meant config in pinballx settings.exe for future pinball, launch after section. Similar to your launch before to start futuredmd
-
Nice! For future DMD a launch after batch file in future pinball config containing something like; TASKKILL /F /IM "Futuredmd.exe" , should do it.
-
Not tried symbolic links, but off the top of my head they shouldn't be an issue - will test when i get chance. In the Media\Visual Pinball folder do you have any sub folders below the main media type folders?

@johnwillsey Please also check if you have any duplicated media in subfolders of your PinballX\Media\Visualk Pinball X\ media folders? (e.g. PinballX\Media\Visualk Pinball X\Table Videos\Backup\ - where you have the same media in the backup folder as you do in the Table Videos folder). If you do please try moving the Backup (or whatever it's called) folder to another location.

Come back to it another day!.. If / when you do recheck all FP settings. It might be one small thing that's been missed like the load image into table editor option.

[RESOLVED] PinballX Loading some VPX Issue- Please Help!!!
scutters replied to xxxrhc3xxx's topic in General
With a 3GB graphics card which isn't ideal for 4k. @xxxrhc3xxx I respectfully refer you to the link i posted before https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=31020 There's a few things B2S related to try in there... i'd try to run the table with no B2S, if that's ok try to find a different B2S for the same table. you might get lucky. If still issues play around with your VP graphics settings (no idea what you have set, but maybe lower the max texture dimensions). Hope that helps.. -

Hi, Please post in the support thread; https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/23840-app-pinballx-database-manager/ Attach your DBManagerLog.txt file (in pinballx\log folder) after having the problem and the database xml file for the affected system(s) (from your pinballx\databases\systemname folder named systemname.xml). Thanks
-
Ok, but also see http://www.gopinball.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=6054 "If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, add a check mark to the option, "Run this program in compatibility mode for". Then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the pull down list. Then put a check mark in "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". Put a check mark in the option for "Run this program as an administrator". The other options may be left unchecked. " Like i say, i'm not win7 so i don't know which is right, sorry!

[RESOLVED] PinballX Loading some VPX Issue- Please Help!!!
scutters replied to xxxrhc3xxx's topic in General
Please post the ini and log file again after seeing the issue, so we know current settings. A screen shot(s) of the error will also be useful, the error might only occur when you launch a table from pinballx, but i'm not sure it's pinballx that is actually erroring if that makes sense. -
I'm just about out of ideas then, your setup should be good. One other thing to check is if FP & PinballX are running as admin, if they're not then try setting both of them to run as admin (and confirm if you've tried changing compatibility settings for FP & FPloader (seems they are sometimes needed for in win7 but as i'm win10 i don't know)
-
Are FP settings as described here?

[RESOLVED] PinballX Loading some VPX Issue- Please Help!!!
scutters replied to xxxrhc3xxx's topic in General
@xxxrhc3xxx Can you repost the usual files (log and ini), after having the issue with the 7-8 tables. Is the error in visual pinball or pinballx?. If it's VP have a look at https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=31020 -
Ok then... ignore future dmd for now, Add / STAYINRAM to your FP launch parameters.. so; Parameters=/open "[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" /play /exit /arcaderender /STAYINRAM
-
Try changing the launch before for futuredmd to not wait for exit. This line in the ini file ([FuturePinball] section) to False; LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True

Also, are there any errors in windows event viewer at the time of crashes (Windows Logs -> Application)? -
What is the error? Can you attach your pinballx.ini file and a copy of your pinballx\databases folder as a zip file. Ta.

scutters replied to xxxrhc3xxx's topic in General
I used to run a 3 screen setup with 4k playfield on gtx1060 (6GB) without any real issue before i upgraded to a 1080. Always loaded fine through pinballx. Might be different with a 1060 3GB though. I'd turn off use B2S in front end for starters, and install pinballx 64bit as @Mike_da_Spike suggested. Post the log file after launching/closing one of the problem tables. Other stuff to let us know.. are you running any antivirus / defender, does it have exclusions set for pinball folders, and what is (and isn't) set to run as admin (or any other weird compatibility settings) (and don't worry too much about the monitor numbers in the config compared to windows, they'll be off by 1. Monitor 1 in the config file is your backglass, playfield would be 0) edit : pinballx.ini should be in your pinballx\config\ folder -

@PEandS1Ws These are great! -
Updated attachment in first post to V1.1. Added ability to use Gifs as logo overlays, or flash on/off static overlays.. Flashing logo image & cogs gif as semi transparent overlay (can be combined with video effects & text to match preferences) Plenty of gifs out there that can be used, some in https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/23287-loading-gifs/, and obviously loads more if you use google

The xml shows you have an entry for Avatar (2012 ; <game name="Avatar (Stern 2012"> <description>stern</description> <rom></rom> <manufacturer></manufacturer> <year></year> <type></type> <hidedmd>True</hidedmd> <hidetopper>True</hidetopper> <hidebackglass>True</hidebackglass> <enabled>True</enabled> <rating>0</rating> </game> Remove that entry (in game manager or edit the xml file in notepad), and then add Avatar (2010) as new. Make sure you don't leave the description field blank. If you get the error again post another picture, but move the Confirm lose Changes message box away from the Game Manager window so we can see the new entry. .. and as @Mike_da_Spike suggests you may want to try pinballx database manager instead of the standard game manager, https://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/2499-pinballx-database-manager/

@barto107 I've never tried audio in loading videos. In settings.exe make sure that under Audio Settings you have Sound in Videos set to Yes. If that doesn't work please raise either longer launch audio or audio in loading videos as a feature request;- 40 replies

Looks like you have two Avatar tables in your C:\games\Visual Pinball\Tables folder. Are you saying you should only have one (which one)? Can you post your 'pinball 10.xml' file too, should be in pinballx\databases\pinball 10\ folder
