  1. Ok, will see what we can do - not too long though (condescending git! <chortle> <guffaw>)
  2. It is a thing called british humor, sometimes i am afraid it will be over you head . America did manage to 'get' british humor once, Married with Children hit the nail on the head really. Ed O'neal and his fascination of his toilet, his wife and kids and their fascination of his wallet, and the great put-downs towards his neighbour Marcy (Amanda Bearse). One liner put downs are a great national british sport, so are fat jokes (peggy's mum). Really MWC was just taking the piss out of Americans using English humor - Classic!!! The problem with british humor is that it can quite easily go off on a tangent (Monty Python, The Goons, Fast Show, Bob Mortiner and Reeves, etc). we have 2 types of humor - the strange and sureal & the genteel. PS. Chris Rock is a little 'MEMBER' Anyway - all i am trying to say is that sometimes American & British humor get's it own lines crossed, then one side or the other loses the plot Now don't get me started on German humor....... Oh, and yes - you should find something useful to spend your time on <snigger> All the best to you.. Just done a new shiny control/media bar for the theme (shame you cannot move the buttons on the media controls), it makes a nice change and fits with the theme rather nicely..
  3. Good idea - I will do a Naomi one. any other ideas would be great... (not you though Tempest )
  4. The res is not a killer - if your system run fine with advanced effects on, this won't make any difference. If not, you can just turn them off.. I hope to have it finished in the next couple of weeks. Just been doing new wait animations and that kind of stuff. debating weather to do a new media bar or leave the original. I have it off by default, and don't use the media side of GameEx at all - so not sure if it is worth the effort? Thanks for your interest.. Still got several systems to do (and Naomi now also )
  5. ps. I could only use 4 emoticons as the board only allows 10 per post... you emoticon hog..
  6. I found your post somewhat lacking - another couple of emoticons would perhaps of just made it right.. 3 more would have be overkill You just want me to be "great big member" or something, you could be right - everyone I know calls me a big dick for all the wrong reasons. The wife calls me little pri*k for different reasons sadly ( ). To be honest - I think you are still a bit unimpressed by the whole "Elite Member" thing <snigger> Sometimes i wish BK would sod off on holiday (vacation? - damn Americans ) more often so we can all look clever. B&W vectors in the theme.... Hmmmm.... I can only find pictures of them there new-fangled colour ones.. All the best ol chum...
  7. Just a couple more pictures seeing there was a slight sniff of interest today... Again, reduced to 1680x1050 for now... Cheers.. PS. Any suggetions for systems or graphics is always happily recieved.
  8. Don't worry too much, I know that Tom is working on adding foreground support to all screens, if he has not already done it ready for the next GameEx release. So, it will come - looking forward to it myself!
  9. Yeah, I will get it right at 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 first and then perhaps look into getting it to work at 640x480 and 256x192 for ZX Spectrum users (snigger). Sorry about the shoe thing - i really like straggly laces - honest!
  10. you gotta love this forum The only problem with scaling that low is that the date will be affected.. it may show "10th Se" as the rest is cut off) It may be worth a try.. I will have a play at lower res and see.. Perhaps a modified ini for 800x600 and lower would be possible..? and... um.... er.... I dont like your... um...... shoes, yeah (that's it) - I don't like your shoes, stupid shoes! ....... and the laces are all girly and too big for your 640x480 shoes, they trail all on the floor...
  11. The theme will scale to 1024x768, though this is the lowest res it can support - any lower and thing like date and time will be miss displayed and also locations of text will not match with the background. The image preview size should not make any real difference at that resolution as they will only be upscaled slightly. I am still working on the theme and am glad you are interested in it (you should see it on a HD plasma ). I have several more of the systems to do and also a few of the icons for things like shutdown and the such. Sadly it will be a rather large download as all the hi-res backgrounds, foregrounds and icons take their toll on the size of it... I don't think i will replace the sounds (but who knows). Emphatic: hope you get your foregrounds sorted
  12. one thing i should have said is that the foregrounds currently (ttbomk) only work on custom emulators (emu1, emu2, emu3, etc) and not the standard GameEx backgrounds, Daphne, startbak, bak, etc. So... if you have not tried yet, set up a SNES emu and use/create these files. snes. png <------------- standard background snes_foreground.png <---------------- an overlay In the snes emu setup, select cusom background as snes.png and gameex will do the rest. NOTE: the snes_foreground file must be an image surrounded with true black (not sure if transparency works as yet), black is used as the mask and anything under the black will be shown through... Really hope this helps...?
  13. Sadly, i cannot help there. I have not used the editor for backgrounds, only to position stuff on screen..
  14. Mine are all the same except with "_Foreground" tagged to the end. Ie. the same filename. In the setup of each emu I selected the background name (without _foreground) and gameex magically does the rest.
  15. I think we should all ignore this thread...!
  16. <background name>_Foreground.png is this what you are after?
  17. you will be.... I know your kind
  18. the point is that {ESC} as a sendkey will not make the emu exit - only a real ESC command would stop execution... anyway - I STILL recommend giving zsnes a spin - it is perhaps one of the best snes emu's. It may not be the most fuly featured, but it is the best for running fs snes games as full speed. again try it!
  19. I can think of a few... Oh go on,,,, can i ? ? ? ? ? ?
  20. not sure what the problem is as not run that emu.. The only thing i can say is that (out of personal preference), zsnesw is a great snes emu and runs a treat from gameex.. I did look into several when making a choice of which one to use for gameex and decided that I found zsnes to offer the best overall perfomance, speed and compatability (and ease of set-up) Try it and see...?
  21. I do laugh, because everytime i buy a new gadget, the first thing i do is put GameEx on it with a few emu's to see how it runs... It is the first thing the wife asks...
  22. the graphics on it is the NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS (from sonystyle site) I have no idea if it supports s15, that is one thing i have not looked into - though it may well?
  23. Just bought a new laptop (god! another one - 8 now....) Got a Sony vgn-z11 Just wanted to mention it to all as this is a fantastic emu machine. NEARLY all mame runs full speed, cal speed even. (gaunt legends, nba, a bit sluggish though) ALL systems i have tried run at full, Dreamcast, Saturn, ps1, 44fps ps2, 31fps gamecube, n64... etc It has 4 gig of ddr3 and a 320gig hd... Really nice with gameex (bugger - may need another licence ) Just thought i would mention it as it is a great machine for emulation with one of the clearest, brightest screens i have ever had the pleasure of using... (DB editor was the 1st thing on it though ) PS overclocked to 2.98 gig... https://www.sonystyle.co.uk/SonyStyle/catal...002BC29B71)/.do
  24. you have a point (not the wrath of Tom again!), well - either that or you want to skirt away from the jealousy subject :) Anyway... Databases are coming on great (75 games added to fpinball - 200 odd to go ) may then do the VP one. Intell is NEARLY done... About 12 descriptions to do, then re-check the other ones for correct paragraphs and eol's (yes - still doing that Tom - you promised you would add them when the DB's are all done. . BK is JEALOUS, nah nah nah-nah nah
  25. This forum is not a place for jealousy
