  1. The option is in windows control panel. But, when it pops up, select settings and uncheck all the options.
  2. I will leave it alone for now. Perhaps I will email the service providers and see what they say?? Just done an update on the site with some pictures taken with the new Pentax. Nice ZX81 and Atari 7800 images (and others). Website HERE Now getting round to more usefull stuff that may aid themes and icons etc...
  3. This is a quick-ish reply. Convert all your roms to GoodGB64 format (there are batch files and a dat to do that) HERE use my loader (found on the emu configs page) HERE Also use CCS for emulation. When a new disk is needed for the 64, press f10 to select the next one. The dialog will show all disks for that game. Hope that helps. There are several topics on the forum that go into more detail. I would, but it is bed time. If you get stuck, I will have a bit more time tomorrow! Not sure how you would map keys to f10 and return for the cabinet though - I do not have a cab, but it is possible.
  4. Snigger!!! It is Mrs. Carmeltoe, she takes great offence at being called Cameltoe - you may even get a Rock Cake thrown at you... I will end up banning myself at this rate
  5. Do you ever rest?..... Do you hang upside down from trees, honing your thoughts, breathing slowly, listening to the Cookyburrah singing quietly in your ear. Do you find yourself seeing light in the darkness as your mind rests at one with nature...? If you do, thought I would let you know that we all meet on Fridays for the "Do you hang upside down from trees, honing your thoughts, breathing slowly, listening to the Cookyburrah singing quietly in your ear. Do you find yourself seeing light in the darkness as your mind rests at one with nature? Society!" Oh, this Friday - Mrs. Carmeltoe is bringing a selection of her Buns, she has promised to bring some of her Creosote & Walnut Fairy cakes also... I could ask her to bring one extra for you... You never know?
  6. I think it is a great idea also. If you want any testing done HK, you know you only have to ask. PS. please don't let this push DBM to one side The DB's are taking a lot of time and anything you can do to aid this is very much needed... kiss kiss
  7. Yep, ePSX or similar is a good idea for playing. What about an option for multiple mounting.. C64 supports 4 drives all mountable from command line. X68000 supports 20+ drives all mountable from the command line. This could be great to auto-mount ALL disks (when possible) at launch. It has always been a shame that X6800 (fantastic by the way) can only mount the first disk on gameex launch and not change without exiting the emu, when 95%+ games on it are multi disk. The same goes with Apple II, PC-FX, the list is large.... You could be onto a great thing, esp with a versatile ini system! (perhaps) Otherwise the execution command could get a bit muddled!
  8. No, I have not looked into turning off notifications. It has never caused a problem, I just wondered if it would when swapping disks through a wrapper. One thing to note, daemon comes in several guises now, the form that all configs follow, the lite version, and the pro. These all use different directories by default and (i believe) pro also has a different executable. These would need to be parsed to the wrapper also. Perhaps a per-emu config? This could be located in the wrappers directoy (.ini) and the name parsed along with the rom(s). The ini could take care of the rest, from the emu used, temp dir, to the daemon location/filename? A single cycle key would be great, perhaps with a directx timed overlay (where possible - depending on emu's fullscreen mode) to display the mounting file?
  9. Thanks HK. Nice to see you back ps. just pm'd ya with a brainwave! (oh god he cries!)
  10. The main problem with wrappers is the lack of multi-disk support. How to implement it is tricky but could use a mapped key(s) (eg "+" "-" ) to swap disks forward backward. Lots of iso's do have "Disk 1 of 4" etc on the end. This at least tells you how many and which disk you are using. Problem is, implementation would vary on a per emu basis, and also - if each iso is rar/7zip/zipped individually, gameex will only have extracted to one image to the unzipped folder. Would work if all images were in a single archive though. So, the only way it could work is if the images were left individually unzipped in one directory or if they were zipped within one archive. I could only see it working with daemon tools also. Would the "please wait" that daemon generates cause the emulator to fall bck to the desktop though? Well.. that was my little rant on iso based multi-disk games. Possible though?
  11. That will not help! Remember, only a handful of the db's fully support this feature and that all your roms need to be in one of the 3 naming formats. As the db's get more and more complete, the extra functions that use the db's will get better and better (including the naming).
  12. HK: If you get to here - can you go back a page, bean doing that thinking thing again
  13. If you do not have PCB images to display within GameEx, you can just delete the path displayed in the mame settings and leave it blank. If you have PCB images, enter the directory they are stored in.
  14. Ha Ha - your days are numbered! PS. did you get them Thongs I sent you? See Here
  15. Yes - if you have not done a full update for a while - I would suggest doing a download. also - have a play with the "Use database name" feature (if you have not already). It will correctly name all your roms (display only).
  16. HK 3 databases with complete dev fields (crosschecked I hope!). EDIT: Also Fairchild and Intellivision 5200_7800_Coleco Fairchild___Intellivision
  17. He's buggered off again! HK: Going through the older db's and it is becoming more apparent that I need a better way to unify the data. Is there anyway we can have a program (much like a web site) that can poll all the xml's offered and enable me to view by whatever I choose. Say, if i select Publisher - I can get a list of publishers from #/a-z. Then I could see easily ones that are wrong. Ie. Bit corp Bit Corp Bit Corp. Bit Corporation I could then select one and (F2?) and type the correct name and then this would be changed in all DB's that it was present. This could also work for Game Name and developer. I know I keep going on about this, but a system along these lines would be great. I would not mind if I had to wait 20 mins while a database was created to enable this kind of editing. It really would help a GREAT deal. I am doing it the long way and have to keep saving the db's to re-check with another for what I used there, then come back. I have used the export mdb's option and this does help, but I really do need something better and quicker. Really sorry (as always) to continue harping on, but needs must as they say!
  18. Thanks all.... No more Squirrel fishing (or worm baiting?), hmmm... I will try my best, that is all I can promise...
  19. Thanks HK. I just had a thought re DBM. This may be a bit easier? when you are editing a rom, and you click on the pulldown for (eg.) Publisher, a drop down box apears with all the publishers in that particular system. Is there anyway to get it to do a list of ALL publishers (and Name, Developer). I know the list would take a while to be created, but it could be a menu item ("Create/Update dropdowns"). Not sure how practical this is - but it may be an option. It is getting quite hard to keep track of. Perhaps a way it could show a fuzzy match when it is a sole entry.. just a thought!
  20. I'm colour blind! I was gonna addsome data to the end of each entry when the N64 one is released. but, a colour-code would be good (makes it a bit harder for me to read though - but that is prob just me)
  21. I think I was only made Mod because I bought a Key ring and a thong from the GameEx shop. That reminds me, I must get Tempest's address so I can send the thong on to him! He said that is what he really wanted for christmas, who am I to disapoint him?
  22. All done! was gonna change all the colours to pink and blame you - but I did promise to be good... Now going through the other db's that are (were) complete and adding the Developer fields (big YAWN)
  23. One thing - N64 is not complete as yet (listed on the first page). It is damn close though. (my first mod as a mod )
