  1. Again, a BIG THAN YOU SIR. Going to install the fix on my 2 machines.
  2. Tested, all good mate. Dumb question, can i just reinstall over the existing one? No configs lost?
  3. WOW. Just WOW. It was a simple fix? Can you provide some details on what was going wrong? Many thanks man really.
  4. First of all, thanks for your inputs on this. I did not installed the .net framework, just run that code to check wich versions were installed. Gameex Evolution worked always fine, i installed it several years ago so no new installs, 4 years or more ago, and it was only now that the bug presented itself. Mind you that last time i fired up the software was 4 months ago or so, and then when i started this thread, so something in that time frame must have changed. Please don`t remove it, i like it much more than the "normal" gameex and i bet a lot more people are on the same pace. It´s just a "bug" if you press ok on the error it will go away and the software works like it should, it`s just my "nerdiness" on the subject eheheheh.
  5. Was there any update on your part Draco1962? No worries Tom Speirs, just glad i can give any help. For context i run win10 pro and i only make updates yearly more or so, the pc´s wich gameex is installed don`t change much in terms of software. I run backups with Macrium Reflect and my first action was to roll back to 4 months ago, the issue persisted. In the meantime i´ll just block it with the firewall as a workaround. Regards.
  6. Hi. Just ran this command to get the versions installed listed: Get-ChildItem 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP' -Recurse | Get-ItemProperty -Name version -EA 0 | Where { $_.PSChildName -Match '^(?!S)\p{L}'} | Select PSChildName, version Also checked the file version. I´m up to 4.8
  7. Yep, on a fresh windows install, no credencials inputed. Must be something else.
  8. https://carrapice.synology.me:2977/vs/vs/sharing/WjbvKDCn#!aG9tZV92aWRlby04NjI= Windows VM fresh Install, all updates done.
  9. I´m currently installing on a fresh stock vm. Doing updates. Next game ex evolution with no credentials, no emulators no nothing. Stock.
  10. Did the log i provided give you any clue?
  11. Just found what`s going on after 4 hours of virtual machines testing: Internet. If i disable the adapter or disconnect the cable no error message. So i assume it os something due to my account on your servers? Double check the login and password, all is ok. Can you provide some feedback?
  12. I mean, where do i find that log? The one in the screenshoot in my first post. Ok i think i´ve found it. [GAMEEX_EVOLUTION].log
  13. Can someone point me into what the final line points to? This one "Headsoft.Tools.LogFile" Here is this log file? Thanks.
  14. I will try some of those options, have to virtualize the os first for testing purposes. Thanks.
  15. Hi. No worries, i would hope someone had this problem before and could share the solution to it. I´ll try myself and if i find the resolution, i´ll post it here. Best regards.
  16. As the title says, i´m getting this error when game ex evolution is launched. Don`t know were to look, things i´ve tryed so far: 1-Unnistall and reinstall 2-New windows user 3-Replace the C:\GameEx Evolution directory with a good know working. Attaching the error message. Thanks for the help mates.
  17. ok just tested it, same behavior. I´ll stick to the x86 version, that one works. Best regards.
  18. Hi, yes it this video. I do have 7zip x64 installed on that machine, so i guess thats not the case, or maybe the version? I have 16.02 from 2016, gonna upgrade 7zip and report back the testing. Best regards.
  19. Ok, just found out the problem. x64 version of gameex doesn`t work well with the extract 7zip option, if the rom is small, like 1mb it works but with 300mb+ just forget it, it doens`t work at all. x86 version works all the way. Another issue is the temp folder, it doens`t delete the files after you exit the emulator, the x86 version works flawlessly in this regard too. I´ve made a video but i`m not sure i can post the link here, just search for "carrapice" on you tube or "gameex 7zip" Hope this helps anyone who`s having this issue. Best regards
  20. Hi all. Like the title says. It works with small roms like megadrive/genesis for ex but with larger ones from sega saturn or playstation with doesn`t work. I´ve searched the forum but couldn`t managed to get an answer for this. Does someone have any clue why this behavior? Best regards.
  21. Ok thanks; maybe an option to hide it or even better, make it smaller on some border of the screen. Best regards.
  22. Hi all. The progress bar always shows up when starting up gameex evo; normal behavior? It covers the evo animation. Thanks.
  23. Ok after trial and error i figured it out.
  24. Hi. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but i´m having a little trouble on unsderstanding how the filters work. ex: no clones - yes/no? yes, i don`t want any clones? no, no clones listed? Shouldn`t the question be like - clones - yes/no? Thanks.
  25. Hi Don´t get me wrong,i like the software(gameEx),i use it on 2 machines but i have removed wmp from all my 6 machines/pc`s because i don`t like and don`t need it. I have removed it and still gameEx functions normally, with the exception being the visualize feature in the jukebox;so why is it a requisite? I didn`t menction the other media center software because i think it`s a desrespect posting that info on this forum like someone`s else`s did!!! And i think the term "hackers" is misleading in that context,it has nothing to do with that. Yet again,i am greatfull for gameEx,i use it all the time. Sorry for asking for the "hack" thing,if you meant it to be this way, then it shouldn`t be messed with. Best regards
