  1. Hey, um, I just tried going through the setup wizard, and tried enabling 43-80. Didn't show up in the config screen. Tried giving them all the name Atari 2600 Games and one PC Games Shortcut. Didn't show up in the config.exe. What I missing? I see the extra slots in the setup wizard, but I can't access them in the config.exe or through emulator setup in setupwizard.exe
  2. Just realized I was wrong. Tested it again.
  3. Tom, rocks! Thank you for adding extra slots and the move the emulator group menu under emulated games. Nologic and headkaze too! Whoever made the setup wizard. Btw, are there any advantages besides extra slots in the setup wizard that the config.exe doesn't have?
  4. I think the gameex.net issue is fixed because man I didn't even have to refresh the page or anything. Right on. Come first paycheck, I plan on donating some cash to Gameex and Tom for all the rapid support he has given me. Tom, you kick butt!
  5. Tom, thank you for adding the two features I asked for. Brian, you're cool with your advice too.
  6. Headkaze, Nologic, you're the greatest.
  7. I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. It just seems that everytime I mention adding more slots, someone tries to shoot it down. Thank you for the information.
  8. Holy crap! I'm not alone in wanting more emulator slots!!!
  9. Ok, gotcha on the ads. Will never ask again. Yeah, I only have half that bandwidth. And gameex.net is only one refresh away.
  10. Okay, good too know they are not corrupt. It could be something with your dsl line and if it's a little rickety around big files. As for the K-lite codec, I've never installed it. My process was to use fraps to record, virtual dub to compress and edit with Intel codec 4.5. From loooking at the different types of codecs playing on previous screens, it seems that these are codecs built directly into your system. If you Windows Media Player you should have these codecs. Yes, sometimes I used Indeo 5. That was by accident, but still should be playable on your system.
  11. Tom, just an offer. To help with all the space you use. It's a yahoo business acount and you could ftp:\\ the entire site if you wanted. I've had it for the last 3 years and will continue to pay for it. It costs me 14.99 a month and you could run it from there. I had a small computer at home service shop and used a website that nobody looked at. The account is 20gb but I want to reserve 5 gb if I start up the store again. It's a service like electricity, I pay for it. No hooks or catches. No ads. Or you could use it to offload files that people can download. My dsl line is weird where I live. I use Cuteftp to load stuff to emumovies, but if there were corrupt files, that's my bad. The yahoo business acount is rock solid. I think you should refer to the type of files they allow, but I'm pretty sure this whole site would work on there... or backup.
  12. One last call off, Is my loader still not working for some people through Gameex? It only plays cdi files. Sorry, haven't added the code to make the mouse instantly disappear. If someone wants edit it and autoscript by all means, do so. I've been busy as of late, and true credit still goes pretty much to NoLogic. I just tweaked it a little bit. Like make the mouse move off the screen.
  13. I missed that sfv meeting. Are all problems cleared here?
  14. IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Ignore the instructions that came with your loops. For extra coolness for some odd reason and speedier searching through game lists, follow this: I have found it best to only create a startbak.avi in each theme and leave all the the rest, like mamebak, bak.avi, and others to .png formats. You can still have your avi previews for each game but it speeds things up a little bit and is a little more cool for some reason that way. I will be adding more loops later on.
  15. Please lord, more slots for a emulated group that can be assigned either to the start menu or emulator menu. It's easier. And don't give me any Plato or Socrates philosophy about taking the hard path. Gameex is all about the ease to play the games you want to play under one cosmic editable roof. Like video backgrounds. Like scroll lists and editable 640x480 avi preview sizes. Like dvd player, still haven't figured out the ALT+ 1 thing, can you change it to like the letter G or something, Like command before and after launches. Like play music while I surf the internet in full screen, like radio stations. I am grateful for all of that. I just don't think adding 20 more slots would be that taxing on gameex. I will reserve my cd games for later, but I'll put the best ones on for now, which btw, UT2004, best game ever. I also have a message I'm gonna also put on the video backgrounds area. I have found it best to only create a startbak.avi in each theme and leave all the the rest, like mamebak, bak.avi, and others to png formats. You can still have your avi previews for each game but it speeds things up a little bit and is a little more cool for some reason that way.
  16. Any way to attach the profiles to .exe instead .lnk. I'm not a big fan of shortcuts.
  17. Because sometimes shortcut links break.
  18. Already asked for more slots in the feature requests.
  19. Okay, so I was thinking about a way to get more free slots for pc games. Can one Gameex in one directory run another Gameex in another directory, or would they conflict somehow. Even more, if that was possible, I would make an emulator group in the first gameex called PC Games that would switch to the second Gameex and people could select PC Games? Watcha think?
  20. Is my loader still not working properly for some people?
  21. I'm having diffculty and frustration with Pinnacle Game Profiler as of late. I'm a registered PGP user and can't ever seem to have one decent day of it not crashing. How's xpadder doing out there? Is it the true compliment to Gameex or should I not even bother. I use PGP to sends commands to Gameex and every emulator I have. But it crashes on edit commands on Pinnacle 3.0 and on the Pinnacle 4.0 beta RC5 build, it loads the executable but it won't send the keys to the game. I've uninstalled 3.4, 3.0, and 4.0 beta over and over again and I just can never seem to get it just right. Am I missing something, or should I go with xpadder. Lots questions I know, but what's your experience with Pinnacle Game Profiler and Xpadder?
  22. Unzipping errors. Have you tried unzipping rar and zip files from other places as of lately. I only use WInzip, Winrar, and 7z on my computer. As for the codec thing, damn, didn't know. Well, they all work for me. Perhaps you need to set Windows Media Player to download codecs automatically. Perhaps you need to clean out your system. Scurvy, try running AVG anti-virus and Ad-aware personal on your computer. If it can play in Windows media player, it can play on gameex.
  23. The create snaps feature doesn't work for every emulator. Which one are you trying to create videos for?
  24. Um, use winrar. 2.) For video game avi's, I used fraps at 25 fps no sound to record and half-size. Went from one game to the next through gameex and fraps just kept saving them. Then I used virtual dub and intel codec 4.5 with a compression somewhere between 75-85 with no sound checked. On an unrelated note, if you intend to make your own background video loops, something I should say is that when using virtual dub, you must have sound enabled. It can be silent, but if you don't have sound enabled, the video loops will crash.
  25. Maybe it's the I'm loading the mame video and the gametap video at the same time.
